Ignore the racetrack, shooting gallery, and new traversal items, Death Stranding: Director's Cut has added something even better - a creepy little reference to PT.

In the original release of Death Stranding, Sam can occasionally have nightmares and hallucinate things when in his Private Room. These small easter eggs range from seeing Deadman's face on BB's body to Hideo Kojima acting like a BT and rising from goo to try and drag Sam down into the depths.

It looks like Death Stranding: Director's Cut has added a few more into the mix, however. and shows Sam looking out into the darkness of his Private Room to see a massive whale barging towards him. As cool as the whale scene is, there's one more hallucination easter egg that's a whole lot more interesting.

. The figure looks like a BT, which is creepy enough, but things get really interesting as Sam looks closer, to see that it's stood very similarly to how Lisa stood in PT. The BT starts rapidly moving around and making strange noises that are incredibly reminiscent of Lisa before pulsating some more and teleporting around the shower.

As the scene comes to a close, the BT stands still in a pose that's actually pretty similar to Psycho Mantis, before bursting out of the shower to jump-scare the player. As the figure gets close to the camera, it's pretty clear that it's Kojima, thanks to the iconic glasses that he's wearing. Sam then wakes up from his nightmare, similarly to how he usually does.

It's nothing more than a fun little easter egg from Kojima to celebrate PT's legacy, which is ironic considering it's been delisted from the PlayStation Store for several years now. Considering Death Stranding had a noticeable lack of PT references throughout it, it's nice to see one added in the Director's Cut.
