You'll have a wide variety of weapons to choose from, making the decision more confusing. It's easy to waste time experimenting with each weapon, but that time could have been spent building your skills and escaping the time loop you're stuck in. That's why knowing the best options going into the game is always an easier path.

Updated December 10, 2022, by Hilton Webster: Arkane are masters at what they do. Deathloop was a big shift for them, pulling away from interactive environments and pushing towards wanton destruction. It's an incredible success though, and some of the weapons in the game are truly unique. The Goldenloop update adds another, making it even more satisfying to kick enemies into today again and again.

10 😼Constancy𓆉 Automatic

A trademark of Arkane's design is giving you supernatural abilities that let you play around with the world and its people in creative ways. In Deathloop, those come in the place of Slabs, acquired from defeated Visionaries or as drops from Julianna whenever she invades you. Frank, however, gave up his Slab, quite literally throwing it in the trash.

Instead, Frank drops a unique weapon in the Constancy Automatic. As the name implies, the gun is fully-auto and constant. Classed as an SMG, it fires indefinitely for as long as you have ammo, and it comes with two magazines that Colt can replace without ever needing to fully stop to reload. It's not the most powerful gun by any means, but it'll never jam, and you can always trust it in a firefight.

9 💎 HALPS Prototype

The Goldenloop update for Deathloop added a treasure trove of new content to the game, including an extended ending, a new slab, and even new enemies. It's all great and fits pretty smoothly into the game too. However, the real highlight of the update is the HALPS Prototype, a weapon truly unlike anything else in the game.

Locked away in a case by Wenjie it requires some smarts to unlock, but it's a real treat. The weapon is a laser that needs to be charged up before firing, but lets loose a continuous beam that goes until it runs out of juice. It can even be shot at cameras and turrets to turn them into devastating lasers. In fact, it doesn't even use the standard ammo types either — instead relying on power taken from batteries. It requires a bit of thinking to use right, but it opens up some great opportunities.

8 Machete

It's not the most elegant kill in the game, but it's definitely the most reliable. You'll find it hard to find a situation where the Machete isn't the solution, slashing your way through any trap the enemy has set. A growing number of players call the melee weapon broken due to its one-hit k🎃ill potential, taking any defensive buff 𒁏out of the question.

The key to its power lies in the all-out blitz backed up by the right abilities (Havoc), letting you survive the ♏approach and get up close and personal. It takes your opponent from full꧟ health with their defenses up to death in just a couple of powerful swings.

7 ♐ PT6-Spiker

The least intimidating gun in the game by a long shot, the Spiker will be the most useful secondary weapon. You don't want to use it in a head-to-head conflict, falling short when it comes to firepower, but it is the most effective stealth gun in the game. Its silent shot and instant headshot deaths make it ideal if you find yourself undetected by the enemy.

It even has a decent range, giving you enough space to remain hidden after the kill, unlike other stealth weapons. Heavy damage is a necessity in any loadout, making the Spiker a perfect companion weapon that equips y🌸ou for any scenario.

6 ꦉ Heritage Gun

Usually, a gun with a gimmick drops the practicality and make♌s for a weaker weapon. The Heritage proves that you can add function without ruining the gun, combining a widespread shotgun with a high-powered rifle, giving you two guns for the price of one.

Taking up only one spot in your inventory for two functions is a valuable perk, leaving room for other guns and expanding your toolbox. Massive damage isn't its strong suit but if you play tactically you can get the most out of this unique weapon.

5 💛 🅷 Fourpounder

Fourpounder handgun exhibition

A gun that has to be handled with care, the Fourpounder is not for the reckless shooter. While its powerful shot and damage potential might draw you in, the slow rate of fire will leave a careless player exposed and vulnerable. Before firing, you have to make sure it's going to hit and hit hard, putting you at an advantage while giving you time to reload.

If you're going to use the Fourpounder, why not use two? Doubling the firepower while decreasing your chances of getting stuck reloading with no high-caliber bullets to fire.

4 ꦛ 💜 Strelak Verso

Streak Verso in Deathloop

If versatility were a gun, it would be the Strelak Verso handgun. This gives you a pair of them with the Snare perk, slowing down enemies on impact. You can also combine the two pistols and create a three-burst ꦚsubmachine gun, quickly adding a new dimension to your combat ꦍabilities.

The transformation not only saves you space but opens up gameplay for an ever-cha🦄nging battlefield. Once the enemy is slowed down, the two pistols can rapidly fire and quickly chip awayಞ their defenses, leading to a swift victory. Even if the enemy is retreating, longer ranges are easily handled by the SMG, taking out enemies with its auto-aim feature.

3 Limp-10

Uzi weapons page

Deathloop's answer to the Uzi, the Limp-10's rapid rate of fire makes up for the erratic aim. Recoil and the lack of good sights make firing the Limp-10 unpredictable at best. Large groups and close-range enemies are the best targets, giving you more chances to deliver damage.

Dual wielding is really where the gun shines, melting through groups and turning an oncoming attack into quick kills. The Limp-10 isn't the most accurate gun in the game, but it is one of the most fun to play with, raining down bullets with no need for precision.

2 🐭 Strelak 50-50 ꧒

Shotguns are usually a staple when it comes to effective weapons, but they lack range, limiting you to close-quarters combat. The Strelak ꧂50-50 lets you play at mid-range without losing the devastating power and speed a shotgun brings to the table🉐. The twin drum ammunition removes the need to constantly reload but when you do, it takes a long time.

Ammunition management will be the biggest challenge, as firing at a fast rate will quickly eat up your ammunition and leave you holding a useless piece 🐬of metal. Luckily, the 50-50 should provide enough heavy damage to take out even large groups before the bullets run dry.

1 Sepulchra Bret꧑eira

cocking back a sniper rifle

The mac daddy of sniper rifles, the Breteira is an overpowered cannon that will take out anything you can fit in its scope. Equipped with the Deep Lung perk, the rifle becomes even more effective, increasing aim and making the kill shot even easier. Range is expected when it comes to sniper rifles, but this gun has so much that you'll only get to use its full power a few times.

While it might sound like a perfect gun, that incredible range can be a disservice iওn most situations, limiting you to distant camps looking through the scope all game.
