Classic games are getting a lot of love recently, with several remasters in the works for iconic games like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect and Indigo Prophecy—the latter set to ha෴ve a physical release in November. Of course, there are several side-scrollers♑ that are also making a return. The classic gothic shoot 'em up Deathsmiles, for example, is coming to the Nintendo Switch next year—as well as the Xbox One and PS4.
Developed by Cave Interactive, the game has you playing as🏅 one of five Angels as they defend the land of Gilverado from an invasion by Hell itself. There are six different game modes to choose from, as well as two-player local multiplayer support. The game has a non-linear storyline; you'll be able to choose which stages you want to play, which is a nice touch for replayability.
The games were originally released in arcades in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Cave Interactive is well-known for its colorful and frantic shmups, not the least of which are Deathsmiles 1 and 2. This isn't the first time that the games have s𒀰een a , however, as they were previously available on the Xbox 360.
If you're interested in playing some of Cave Interactive's other shmups, Deathsmiles 1 and 2 are both approachable jump-off points for what you can expect from the developer's other titles. The heart-pounding action that you'll experience in Deathsmiles can accurately be compared to the mania that can be found in games like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Serious Sam—if it's been a while s♏ince you've visited an arcade and need a comparison.
There will be plenty to challenge you and a friend if you choose to play the multiplayer. Although it won't punish you too much, it's still a good place to get reacquainted wi💯th side-scrolling shmups. The console port announcement only applies to Japan for now, but it's safe to assume that they will be available in the US and UK in 2021 as well. Be sure to keep an eye out for this game whenever it is released in Western marke𒁃ts.
