You gotta have a Facebook account to play on Oculus. Facebook, the owners of Oculus, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:changed the rules earlier this month to ensure that everyon꧃e on their platform hands over all their data in order to play VR games, a move that has been roundly panned by Oculus and VR ꧙fans the world over.
Now we're fin🍎ding out that it goes even further than that. Not only must you have a Faceboo🌺k account to play on Oculus, but deleting your Facebook account is tantamount to deleting every game you've ever bought on Oculus.
This news comes from Twitter user Cix Liv, CEO and co-founder of Yur, a VR fitness game. Liv is a well-known Facebook critic specificalꦿly on the VR front, and he sounded the alarm when a concerned Oculus user noted some bizarre options when they tried to delete thಌeir Facebook account.
When you try to delete your Facebook account, 💛you're presented with two options. You can merely deactivate your account, which freezes 🐲it in time but also disables your Oculus profile. This prevents you from playing any Oculus games.
The second option is to delete꧙ your Facebook account forever, but with a pretty big catch. "Deleting your Facebook account will also delete your Oculus information. This includes your app purchases and achievements. You will no longer be able to return any apps and will lose any existing store credits."
This has prompted Liv against Facebook, even though the Ocu🍬lus terms of service specifically prevent users from forming a c𒊎lass-action suit.
Things haven't been going Facebook's way lately. The recent rollout of the Oculus Quest 2 has been marred by a bug that causes the 🐓head🔜set to go into sleep mode after watching a TV show or movie for just a few minutes. It's not related to the sle𝓡ep timer a꧑nd adjusting that timer doesn't prevent the bug from activating.
Oculus Quest 2 also won't play games from the older Oculus Go, which people hav🔜e found to be rather disappointing.
