Resolution Games – the studio behind successful VR titles such as Demeo, Blaston, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale – has officially announced its next game, Ultimec♚hs, coming to all major VR platforms next year.
Described as “the sport of the future”, Ultimechs appears to be an arena-style sports title where you’ll take control of large me🎃chs and compete for victory against other꧂ mechanized professional athletes.
To celebrate the news, Resolution Games released an announcement trailer that shows off a brief glimpse of the game that players can expect to compete in, which appears to be some sort of hybrid version of a Rocket League-style and FPS soccer match. In the trailer, a mech is sent to the arena where it uses its rocket-propelled fist𓆉 to punch a futuristic soccer ball into a goal at the opposite end of the arena.
Simplistic in its idea, the design of Ultimechs makes complete sense for the VR platform. At a glimpse, there appears to be elements pulled ♔from Blaston – primarily in the way that the mech is standing on a single platform. It will be interesting to see if there are additional movements in Ultimechs that extend beyond the 1v1 dueling mechanic featured in Blaston. Either way, given the studio’s track record, there is little doubt that this next release from Resolution Games will be just as good as the ones that have preceded it.
“With Ultimechs, we have created an entirely new gameplay mechanic that could only exist in the immersive worldꦐ of VR,” Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games, said in a press release. “Sure, anyone can kick a ball into a ﷽net, but only in the world of Ultimechs can you and your mech punch it in by firing a rocket fist and controlling the trajectory as you follow along its path. And that just scratches the surface of Ultimechs. We’ve really stretched the boundaries of what can be done in VR in this game, and we can’t wait to share more details.”
No official release date has been revealed,🌸 but Ultimechs is slated for release sometime in 2022.
