It apparently didn’t take long for EA to give up on Mass Efꦆfect Legendary Edition. Not even four weeks after the remade trilogy’s releas𒈔e, EA has removed Denuvo DRM protection from ME Legendary Edition.
That’s according to , the site which keeps track of every new update released on Steam. that the .exe files for Mass Effect Legendary Edition are quitꦯe a bit smaller than they were before June 7’s patch, while 𒊎others confirmed Denuvo’s removal using Protection ID software.
The only protection left on Legendary Edition is EA’s DRM Stub Loader, which only offers very basic protections. In fact, it might offer no 🦹protection at all because the game has already started showing up on download torrent sites.
It’s impossible to say whether the torrents appeared because Denuvo was removed or if EA removed Denuvo because it had already been bypassed. Either way💙, this is bad for EA’s anti-piracy measures, but good news for modders looking to get into the guts of the remade trilogy.
We know from that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:big Crytek hack last year that Denuvo offers a tiered subscription for its services. The first few months of Denuvo protection are the most expensive, with Crytek paying the bulk of its €140,000 fee in the first six months of its contrꩵact. Fees bottomed out at roughly €2,000 per month afterward--a price that basicall✨y assumes Denuvo has already been bypassed for the game and you're only paying to keep the game from being easily modded.
At just under four weeks, EA likely didn't pay too much for Denuvo's services, and this could be indicative that a clause in EA's contract allowed them to get out of paying if the game gets cracked before the🧸 co💦ntract elapses. That's just speculation, but it would explain the strangely short period of Denuvo protection.
