168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2 recently had its newest expansion unveiled. Titled Destiny 2: Beyond Light, this major expansion will bring Guardians to Europa to harness the power of the Darkness. More than that, Bungie also unveil꧟ed their plans with the franchise for🀅 the next few years.
Suffice it to say, there is a lot of ground to cover. With next-generation hardware around the corner, there has never been a better time to try out Destiny 2. Whether you are a diehard 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny fan or someone new to the franchise, here are 10 things you should know about the upcoming Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion.
10 ℱ Stasisꦛ Subclasses
After years of teasing from Bungie, Destiny 2: Beyond Light will finally introduce Darkness Subclasses 𝓡for each of the playab꧂le classes.
As you'd expect, these new Darkness Subclasses, referred to as the Stasis Subclass by Bungie, each has a new Super and passives for their respective class. These Stasis Subclasses also have much more flexibility reminiscent of the first Destiny's skill grid system. Stasis is also a new element type, sitting alongside Arc, Solar, and Void damage that debuted in the first Destiny.
9 T꧑akes Place On Europa 🦄
Fans of the original Destiny might remember a certain piece of concept art that depicted the icy wastes of Europa long before the game released. Of course, Europa has never been a playable location in the Destiny franchise.
That will change in Beyond Light. Sightings of an active Darkness pyramid ship have diverted your efforts to Europa. A frozen city is surrounded by an endless sheet of ice and an omniscient pyramid in the distance. With the Deep Stone Crypt and a Darkness ship both residing on this planet, it is safe to say this will be one of Destiny 2's most content-packed locations to date.
8 Eramis Seeks Vengeance 𒅌
Destiny 2: Beyond Light will finally give the Fallen some time in the spotlight. Eram𓆉is, one of the most infamous Barons from the House of Devils, plans to create a new House of Fallen on Europa.
Those knowledgable on the lore might know Eramis is responsible . Guardians thwarted her plan to steal SIVA technology for herself, but now it appears she has become infatuated with the Darkness. A reformation of the House of D𝓰evils using the🌜 power of Stasis could prove too large a threat for our current powers to handle.
7 The 🐬Exo Stranger Returns
There might finally be time to explain why the Exo Stranger didn't have time to explain. This frequently-memed character from the first Destiny is finally returning in Beyond Light.
The Exo Stranger has seen the grim future where the Darkness wins. She is determined to win this war at any cost, allying with Eris Morn and the Drifter being a prime example of this. No doubt, the Exo Stranger w🎉ill s💛et the groundwork for Guardians unlocking their new Subclasses.
6 ൲ 6﷽0FPS On Next-Gen Hardware
Console players have had to deal with 30 frames per second since the first Destiny releaseꦫd back in 2014. With a new generation of consoles around the corner, this is about to chang༺e.
Anyone who plays Destiny 2 on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5 or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X consoles can expect a smooth 60FPS experience at 4K resolution. With both consoles coming equipped with SSDs, expect load times that rival PC players as well. Wa꧅iting for your character's inventory to load wilꦜl be a thing of the past.
5 Crossplay
Cross save was implemented in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, allowing players to transfer character progress b𒊎etween platforms. Many have since asked for crossplay, or the ability to play with Guardians from other gaming platforms.
Consoles tied to the same family will be able to play with each other when Beyond Light launches this fall, meaning players on the Xbox One can play with Xbox Series X Guardians. Better yet, Bungie has stated they plan to have true crossplay functionality available sometime next year, allowing Xbox, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation, and PC players to fight alongside eac🥀h other in the same instance.
4 ♔ Gear Retirement ꦕ
Gear retirement, known as gear sunsetting by many, is a system that will be introduced when Destiny 2: Beyond Light launches later this year.
For those who are not aware, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:gear sunsetting w♏ill cause all weapons to have a Power level cap that cannot be increased. This cap effectively means that all items excluding Raid gear will have a 1-year lifespan. Items can still be used after the year they're introduced, but it will now make these items obsolete for newer activities.
3 Destiny Conte💞nt V🐷ault
Destiny 2's 9 planets and various playlists are filled with hundreds of hours of content that Bungie must support to keep the game stable. Thi❀s has become more of a burden for stability than a boon, hence Bungie's Destiny Content Vault system.
The Destiny Content Vault (DCV for short) is a new system that will cycle out Destiny 2 content with each major expansion. To offset this, the removed content will be replaced with whatever the expansion adds alongside older Destiny 1 content. For example, Beyond Light will see the removal of Io, Mars, Titan, and the Leviathan. Taking its place will be Europa and the original Destiny's Cosmodrome. Content associated with that location like Strikes will also rotate to keep the game feeling fresh for everyon🃏e while solving the game's ballooning size.
2 Vault Of Gl🗹ass Returns ꧟
Another great boon from the Destiny Content Vault is the reintroduction of old Raids. Coming this fall, players can experience the Vault of Glass Raid in Destiny 2.
To keep these Raids a fresh experience, Champion enemies have been added to make team coordination more important than ever. Besides that change and Destiny 2's different sandbox, the Raid is exactly how you remember it. It is unclear if gear associated with these Raids will return as well, but it's safe to say that this will be one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best and most nostalgia-filled Raids ever added to Destiny 2.
1 🅠 Two More Expansions Announced 𓄧
Perhaps the most shocking reveal Bungie made was the announcement of not one but three expansions. Players can expect Beyond Light this year, followed by The Witch Queen next year and Lightfall in 2022.
Little is known about the next two expansions besides their name and promotional art. The Witch Queen will likely revolve around Savathun and her twisted plan to harness the Darkness, while Lightfall seems to heavily imply that players must choose to side with the Light or Dark. Seasons will still release quarterly between these major expansions. Regardless of your feelings about Destiny 2's current state, Bungie is sticking with Destiny 2 for the long haul instead of making a Destiny 3.
