Xur, Agent of the Nine, known for selling a new lot of Exotics every week, can usually be found in some obscure corner of the galaxy between Friday and Tuesday.

He doesn't always have the best stuff up for sale, but every now and then, he'll have a God Roll Exotic or Legendary among his wares, if you can find him before he leaves. However, one group of Guardians made sure Xur couldn't leave, even after the weekly reset (thanks, ). This was possible thanks to an update to his recent inventory. When it so happened that a particularly good roll of the True Prophecy hand cannon appeared among his wares, some players kept interacting with him to increase the reset time… by a whole day.

According to Reddit user , they were able to hold Xur in place on Nessus for over 15 hoursꦇ so that a whole bunch of Guardians were able to pick up the mighty weapon even after the reset was triggered. According to their estimate, over 35🥃0 players were able to get their hands on the weapon by joining their Fireteam.

Undoubtedly, these players were very grateful. Most of them showed their gratitude via in-game emotes and crouch spamming, but a few especially thankful ones went out of their way. Two players apparently offered to take klip_twings along for their first flawless Trials of Osiris run, one offered to buy them lunch via Venmo, and one person wished they could buy them a beer. They've shared loads of other stats in their Reddit post.

The redd🐭itor noted that they were not alone in this endeavor, they kept swapping with a number of other players, each of whom held the exhausted merchant in place. They took turns to ensure tha𒈔t as many players could grab the Legendary hand cannon as possible.

There's no doubt that Xur is a hard worker. He sources Exotic goods from all over the galaxy, scouts for a spot away from enemy eyes, and camps for almost a week so that Guardians can find him. But the guy's probably got a wife and kids who he misses and is probably too courteous to tell Guardians that he's off the clock. Please don't exploit the poor guy!
