The first and core activity of this season is Savathun's Spire, a three-player matchmade activity that asks players to slay some of the toughest Scorn and Lucent Hive that reside in Savathun's Throne World.
While the activity itself seems par for the course for a seasonal activity, there are some secrets and a slightly different reward structure that set it apart from the likes of Salvage and Defiant Battlegrounds. This gide will cover how to complete the Savathun's Spire activity and the rewards you can expect to earn.
Updated August 29, 2023, by Charles Burgar: Savathun's Spire has added a couple of new hidden chests for players to discover. Elemental alignment is also now available, giving players a way to expand their Deck of Whispers. We've updated this guide to include the locations of all hidden chests in this activity, sorted by week. We've also added a tip explaining how the Deck of Whispers works in this mode, and we've adjusted a few sections to better clarify certain encounter mechanics.
Savathun's Spire Activity Guide
Savathun's Spire is a three-player matchmade activity where Guardians must clear out a tower of Lucent Hive within Savathun's Throne World. Each run consists of three combat encounters and two jumping sections, the latter involving a small puzzle for certain sections.
Unlike most seasonal activities, Savathun's Spire contains numerous secrets for players to find. Hidden chests and Opaque Cards may be obtained to bolster your arsenal or combat prowess during this season's activity offerings. Ascend the spire, uncover its secrets, and slay the final boss to claim your rewards. No Champions are present, although there is a -5 Power delta present; enemies will be sl🌱ightly tougher than usual.
Deck of Whispers
At the start of every combat encounter, players with five or more cards in their 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Deck of Whispers will automatically pull a random card, buffing everyonꦜe in the fireteam with a Major Arcana effect. Specific card effects are detailed in the Athenaeum wing of the H.E.L.M. Cards 🧸are drawn automatically with no input from the player, and the specific cards drawn will be listed at the bottom-left of your HUD.
Encounter #1: Eliminate Votarists
Every run begins with a short combat encounter at the base of the spire. Dotting the room will be numerous Hive crystals that must be powered or destroyed. The encounter objective will determine ꦕwhat you dಌo with the crystals:
- Arc Crystals: Defeat a miniboss to power one of the crystals. Punch it to infuse your character with Arc energy, then punch all the uncharged crystals marked on your HUD.
- Solar Crystals: Defeat a miniboss to spawn a burning crystal. Escort it to a brazier marked on your HUD. Carrying the crystal steadily damages your Guardian.

Void Crystals: Destroy all visible crystals surrounding the shielded enemy. Once broken, kill the shielded foe. Repeat until every miniboss has been slain.
- If the faction is Hive, you'll need to stand on plates instead.
The room itself will spawn never-ending waves of Hive or Scorn enemies. Good add-clearing weapons and builds are highly recommended to breeze through the mission, especially this section. If the chosen faction is Hive, the miniboss enemies will be Lucent Lightbearers. Scorn will spawn Abominations instead.
All three objectives take roughly the same amount of time to complete. Punch all the crystals if you're fighting Arc Votarists, escort all the burning crystals if they're Solar, or destroy all the crystals if they're Void. When finished, ascend up the gravity lift in the center of the room to proceed.
Ascend The Spire
Climbing up the spire is rather straightforward. The path itself is linear and has minimal traps, yet there are numerous secrets✤ you can find during this jumping section. Found along the path are glowing rune symbols, side paths, 𝐆or other secrets that rotate on a weekly basis. We cover these secrets in the "Hidden Chests" section.

There are also Opaque Cards found on the edges of the platforming section. Each card requires a specific elemental attunement to interact with. You'll acquire elemental attunement crystals from the seasonal questline. Once you acquire a certain type of attunement, interact with a matchingꦦ Opaque Card in the spire to receive a free Opaque Card.
Encounter #2: Votarists Revisited
The second floor plays almost exactly the same as the previous encounter. Crystal𒁃s will spawn in the arena that must be interacted with in a specifi✃c way, determined by the element of the Votarists. The objectives are as follows:
- Arc Crystals: Kill a miniboss to spawn a charged crystal. Punch it to charge your character, then punch all uncharged crystals marked on your HUD. This must be repeated a total of three times.
- Solar Crystals: Defeat a miniboss to spawn a Solar crystal, then escort it to a brazier. Repeat this three times.

Void Crystals: Minibosses will spawn pools of Void energy. Pick up the energy and use it to charge Hive plates near the center of the arena. This must be done three times.
- Fully charging a plate will spawn three charged crystals that you can use as weapons.
- If the faction is Scorn, you'll need to break Void crystals and kill Abominations.
Void receives a new objective, but the other two elements are identical to the last encounter. The only other noteworthy change is the elemental orb that resides in the center of the arena. This orb will cover quarters of the arena in energy fields that greatly debuff your character. Solar causes the orb to burn targets, Arc will slow and disorient targets, and Void will tether you to the orb. Pay attention to ಞthis orb 🌠and try your best to avoid it.
Traverse The Labyrinth
Navigating the labyrinth is trickier than the previous platforming section, sharing many elements from the final Witch Queen campaign mission. Your fireteam will be presented with a short three-symbol code and four portals. You must take the portal that matches the sequence. Remember this pattern as well because it's used for later portals.
Each correct portal will take you to the next section of the labyrinth, riddled with traps or massive gaps that can be tricky to navigate. It's best to take this part slowly and as a collective team. The first portal will teleport your team to a short platforming section that leads to yet another portal. This will teleport your team to the base of some platforms that can be ascended with small platforms, similar to Pit of Heresy. Navigate the small gauntlet of traps and platforms to reach the final portal, teleporting you just outside the final boss arena.
Encounter #3: Final Boss
A small group of bosses will be waiting for your fireteam at the apex of the spire. Three bosses can appear, one of which seems to be time-gated. As of launch, this room can either spawn three ༺Lucent Hive Wardens or a massive Scorn Experiment, an Abomination with an abnormally large health pool.
Regardless of the boss that spawns, the objectives remain the same. The first phase requires your team to damage the boss—killing one of the wardens if you received the Lucent Hive Warden trio. When phased, Hive crystals will begin to form around the arena. The same element that was used last encounter will be used again, requiring the same strategy as previous encounters. Arc crystals need punching, Solar crys🎃tals need escorting, and Void crystals need shooting.
Completing this crystal phase will allow your team to damage the boss once more. Defeat the remaining boss or wardens to finish the activity. There are no health gates at this point, so use everything you have to quickly melt them. Once slain, the reward chest will spawn and automatically use a Witch Key 𒀰if you own one, providing additional Witch Engrams and Hive Offerings for the Altars of Summoning activity.

Witch Keys
Similar to Season of the Deep's Salvage activity, Witch Keys are used to acquire additional loot from chests opened in Savathun's Spire or Altars of Summoning. These keys are automatically used when possible and grant bonus Witch Eng🐻rams, Hive Offerings, and a chance of an eꦇxtra weapon or armor piece.
Witch Keys can be acquired from non-seasonal activities and the Season Pass. Ritual activities—Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit—are the best activities to get Witch Keys from. Only five keys🐷 may be held at a time across all characters.

Witch Engram Focusing Options
Nearly every clear of Savathun's Spire will award Witch Engrams, decrypting into seasonal weapons and armor. All currently owned Witch Engrams may be redeemed at the Ritual Table in the southern wing of the H.E.L.M. Witch Engrams ☂may also be obtained through Season Pass ranks.
Unlike previous seasons, Season of the Witch's decoding options are all available by default. Armor focusing grants high-stat armor by default, and any seasonal weapons you've acquired may be immediately focused. Red border focusing is unlocked upon claiming the "Witchcrafting" Opaque Card.
