If ꦿyou’re wearing a certain Exotic helmet next to Saint-14, he’ll tell you how much he loves it.
Saint-14 arrived at the Tower last week in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2, and players were treate𒁏d to Saint’s boisterous and brash statements. He fits in well with characters like Shaxx and The Drifter, both of which are beloved for their over-the-top personaliti🌺es.
However, the developers at Bungie went the extra mile when it came to Saint-14. If you wear a speci👍fic helmet next to him, Saint-14 will even comment on it.
That Exotic helmet is the Helm of Saint-14. In the game’s lore, it’s supposed to be the actual helmet that Saint-14 wore before his death at the hands of the Vex. Wearing it meant that you were wearing a piece of history. It was also a bit of a paradox since, in the Season of the Dawn, you travel back in🍸 time to save Saint-14 which would presumably mean he never lost his hat.
Saint-14 does🦹n’t comment on the time-traveling paradox though. Instead, he just loves the fact that you’re wearing his hat, saying: “You look like me! Let’s confuse Zavala with this.”
Destiny 2 players found out about this special ෴voice line pretty quickly after Saint’s arrival, and it immediately endeared him to every Titan player in the game. However, that line almost didn’t make it into the gaꦡme.
Kareen Shuman, Technical Dialogue Designer at Bungie, revealed on Twitter the story of Saint-14’s dialogue options and how that special comment about his helm almost got cut. He explained that there are over 30 dialogue options for when you first approach Saint-14 and that they all have certain triggers, depending on t✅he player’s race, class, and equipment. It was getting late in the development cycle and the higher-ups wanted to cut the Helm of Saint-14 line to save time.
🦩However, Kareen knew that the fans would find that voice line to be special. "Quietly I decided to try extra hard to make it work since I thought it was such a cool idea."
With some extra help, Kareen got the line working right so that the first thing you hear if you’re ဣa Titan wearing that help is Saint’s boisterous laugh at seeing his own face staring back at him.
As Kareen expected, the fans particular line. Saint is already among players who are . We’ll have to wait for the season’s conclusion t💯o see if Bungie will keep Saint around or not. Here's hoping.
