Arcite 99-40 may be a simple vendor to most players, but their design is the most unique of all the Frames.

Cayde-6 may seem like an obvious choice to some, but it's thanks to his incredible design that he has become so iconic. Generally considered the comic relief character thanks to Nathan Fillion's amazing performance, Cayde-6 is one of the most important characters in both of the Destiny games. While his design is quite simple, there are a few stand out features that have made him so iconic. For starters, the metallic horn sticking out of his head sets him apart quite a lot from his fellow teammates. Oryx is a towering and monolithic villain responsible for causing incredible amounts of chaos in the Destiny series. He is singlehandedly responsible for the creation of The Taken, who proved themselves to be a formidable foe against the guardians. Oryx's design feels almost mythological and combines the most frightening elements of both dragons and insects.
The two standout features of Oryx's design are his enormous dragon-like wings and insectoid head. His ornate spider-like face instils terror in his foes while his wings help accentuate his terrifyingly large frame. He is a force of nature and his impressively designed appearance conveys that perfectly.
6 Zavala
Zavala is one of the most important characters in the Destiny series, and his character design reflects this. While he isn't as intricately or ornately designed as the other characters, like Cayde-6 his iconic status comes from a few clever and notable details. The most important details of his overall design are his red and white colour scheme and his imposing spaulders.
While they resemble pieces of armour found in Halo quite a lot, Zavala's spaulders or shoulder armour offer him a far greater sense of commanding gravitas. However, despite this, Zavala still has a sense of kindness within him. His soft features and the red padding beneath his armour make him appear lighter and more serene. He is a ferocious leader with a kind heart and his design reflects that.
5 Variks
Variks is a character with a deep background full of anguish and strife and so his design should, in theory, perfectly reflect that. Fortunately, Variks' character design matches his story and personal struggle in a succinct and clever way.
His robot arms, which are not too dissimilar to Taniks', showcase all that he has sacrificed in the name of corrupt leaders. His hunched appearance and the tall staff he relies upon offer players insight into his exhaustion and old age. 4 Saint-14
Saint-14's design is both simultaneously intimidating and noble, which matches his personality perfectly. The metallic plume sprouting from the top of his helmet affords him a sense of rank and prominence, while the spikes that jut out from his spaulders and gauntlets make him appear gladiatorial.
What makes Saint-14 such a creatively designed character is the stark contrast between the medieval and almost antique nature of his armour with the purple beam of light emitting from within his helmet.
