The cast of recently played a few roundsܫ of "Who🔜's That Pokémon?" before the premiere of the much-anticipated movie.

The day is finally here. Detective Pikachu has finally been released in theaters. It has been talked about for so long that it's sort of hard to believe that we can now go and see the movie. From the rumors that would be voicing Pikachu to the Sonic the Hedgehog trailer detailing how bad things could have been, it has been a long and em꧒otional journey.

First thing's first, we haven't seen the movie yet so you will find zero spoilers here. Our focus is currently on the cast of the movie and what they got up to at its premiere. In a fun little twist on regular red carpet interviews, decided to put the sta🅺rs through a few rounds of "Who's That Pokémon?"

The game originated during the ad breaks of the original Pokémon TV series. Viewe🍎rs would be shown a silhouette of a Pokémon and we had the duration of the ads to figure out who it was. In this instance,  (Pikachu), Kathryn Newton (Lucy Stevens), Marie Litoyo (Lucy, Japanese dub), Rob Letterman൩, (Director), Ryoma Takeuchi (Tim, Japanese dub), and Justice Smith (Tim Goodman) were all put to the test.

Thankfully, all of them instantly 🍨recognized Pikachu. They also had no problems correctly identifying Psyduck, Jigglypuff, Mr. Mime, and Mewtwo. Th🌜e problems begin to arise with Lickitung. Reynolds could not name that Pokémon. Worst of all, almost nobody knew who Clefairy was. Only Smith managed to complete a full house, and even he wasn't sure of himself when he eventually clocked that it was Clefairy.

All in all, the cast of Detective Pikachu seems pretty locked in when it comes to Pokémon knowledge. However, we do think that theyᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ should have been 𝐆given a few more challenging Pokémon to identify. Not the extremely unfair "Jigglypuff from above" trick necessarily, but perhaps a couple of cameos from Pokémon who don't appear in the movie/aren't in the original 151.
