Devil May Cry 5 has just registered a domain name, leading many to speculate on an imminent 💮reveal from Capcom at this year’s E3.
ℱIt’s time toℱ start speculating on whether or not the latest iteration of Devil May Cry may have a subtitle. We here at The Gamer head office have odds on “Dante - A Kinder, Gentle🧔r Demon Killer,” although ಌrumors about the game say that Dante is anything but.
We have to thank for finding the dom🅷ain name registration of devilmaycry5.com. According to public records, it was reꦕgistered on May 18th with Japanese ISP and known Capcom collaborator .
GMO and Capcom have quite the history together, and more than one Capcom game has had a domain registered just before being announced. For exampl🧸e, monsterhunterwold.com was registered April 28th, 2017--ju🍬st over a month before its big reveal at that year’s E3 conference. Residentevil7.com also came in just before the big reveal, having been registered on๊ Jan 12, 2016, just a few weeks before its release.
Of course, it could just be Capcom registering domain names to ensure t𓂃hat nobody snags the domain before they can release a game of that same title--it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a game in the works. But there’s a p𝄹attern here that we’d be stupid to ignore.

On top of that, there’s more on in terms of leaked info on Devil May Cry 5. Apparently this will be the darkest Devil May Cry ever--even darker than the DmC: Devil May Cry from 2013. Da🎶nte will reprise his role as the star of the show, while there’s a new big baddy♏ to contend with that has yet to be named.
The game will a💫lso take place just after the events of Devil May Cry 4, ꧋which we won’t spoil for you in case you h🎃aven’t picked it up yet.
According to the leak, it’s been in development for just over 2 years now and is slated for release sometime 🌳before March of 2019. It was originally planned to be out for E3 this year, but they didn’t have it quite ready in time. We expect it to be out in time for the holidays.
There will be a playable demo of the game at this year’s E𒁏3, so expect DMC5 to get the lion’s share of Capcom’s coverage.
We also believe it will have s✅ome element of PlayStation ex꧒clusivity, either being only for the PS4 or being a timed exclusive with a later PC release like many of the other DMC games. The game will 💜run on the Unreal 4 engine and have a new dynamic camera that will show off the numerous boss fights that are expected.
Stay tuned for more at E3 next week.
