When a series deals with demon hunters and storylines surrounding end-of-the-world scenarios, one would think making sense is the least of anyone’s concerns. Still, D🌄evil May Cry has established its own in-universe logic which has been adhered to at enough points to consider it as the basis of understanding what’s going on in the story.
That doesn’t mean the series has actually stuck to this logic, as there have been many plot points and instances that have either clashed with༺ the logic or are nonsensical no matter how one looks at them. Due to this, it’s worth checking them out to have a renewed perspective of the series.
10 Dante's Escape From The Demon World ℱ 🦩
The endin🎐g of Devil May Cry 2 showed Dante getting trapped in the demon world after fighting Argosax, with much of a big deal being made about how he couldn’t come back. However, it turned out that he came back pretty easily by Devil May Cry 4.
A comic preceding Devil May Cry 5 explained how he had simply walked through a fissure of sorts and returned home, something even Dante couldn’t explain. This doesn’t make sense since every game has shown the villai𒉰ns going througꦑh elaborate means to open the demon world, yet Dante simply stepped out like it was nothing.
9 ༒ 🌠 The Characters' Inconsistent Ageing
There’s a chance that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fans might not have noticed that the characters look different, yet are supposed to be the same age. Dante and Vergil are twins, yet Vergil looks like he’s easily two decade🐼s younger than his younger twin. Lady, who has no demon blood or invulnerability, looks younger than Dante at all times.
Nero somehow looks younger than he was in Devil May Cry 4, despite the fact that Devil May Cry 5 is♛ set five ♎years later. The characters simply don’t match their appearances with their ages.
8 ♈ Dante And Vergil's Recollection Of Their Mother's Demise ও
The event that shaped 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the personalities of Dante and Vergil was the death of their mother, who perished while trying to save the twins from demons. This has never really made sense, seeing as the two were 🍒clearly together until 🎶they were teenagers, yet Vergil recalled them being separated as babies.
In fact, Vergil’s main beef with Dante was his belief that his mother chose to s♏ave Dante rather than him. If that’s the case, then there should have been no way that Dante and Vergil spent their childhood togeꦗther.
7 Sparda Dying In The First Place ꦑ
Perhaps the next game will 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:finally answer this question, as it’s hard to wrap your head around the idea that Sparda could ever die. Afღter all, he’s been confirmed to have been at least 2000-years-old at one poꩵint, meaning he should’ve been immortal.
Despite that, the plot indicates that Sparda died of natural causes and left his w💯ife and two infants unsafe. There hasn’t been anything shown that would ex💟plain how someone immortal can die just like that. Especially someone who’s supposed to be the most powerful being ever lived.
6 The Coꦏnvenient Portals Leading To And Out Of The Demon World
It’s more than likely that Dante and Vergil will be leaving 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the demon world by Devil May Cry 6. It’s also possible they use the portals, which somehow are so convenie𒊎nt that they drop the person using them exactly wh🌺ere they want to be.
Within each game, the characters enter these portals from one location, go deep in the demon world, only to escape right back to the city where they started. It would’ve made sense if th♛ey came out in an entirely different city or country, yet the portals are so conveniently placed that they arrive in their preferred location.
5 ꦿ Dante's Personality Change In The Second Game
Chronologically, Devil May Cry 2 is set after the first and third game. In the preceding two, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dante was known for making wisecracks and carrying a cocky attitude, only to act like a depressive loner in Devil May Cry 2 ♍out of nowhere.
What’s perplexing is how Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5 portray Dante back as he was in his younger days, being perhaps even cockier than before. Due to this, it’s anyone’s guess why ꦍhe was acting like a man with no will to live in the second game.
4 The Absence Of The Weapons T✱he Heroes Collect
Those who have played through 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the insanely difficult missions in the series will agree that it’s a good gesture by the games to at least reward ൲players with strong weapons after defeating the bosses. However, these weapons become immaterial by the next game for no reason.
Although Dante and Nero have been shown to prefer these weapons to their normal ones within the particular games, they ditch them very easily by the next despite the fact that they would benefit them greaꦕtly.
3 🎃 The Nature Of A Demon-Hunting Business ♔
As to what a demon-hunting business actually entails is something of a mystery. After all, it doesn’t make sense how people seem to know the required password, despite Dante being shown to be effecti🏅vely bankrupt and having no customers.
There’s also the very idea that someone would pay for demon-killing services when the bystanders are always shown at their wit’s end by the very idea of demons. All in all, Dante being in this business and somehow setting ඣit up shouldn’t be possible.
2 Vergil's Sudden Personality Change 🗹
Even stranger than Dante’s change in attitude was Vergil’s, who took a U-turn in characterization within a few minutes. Although his changed attitude made him 168澳𝔍洲幸运5开奖网:a celeღbrated character in the past decade, hisꦏ turn toward being 🧸a good guy was unwarranted.
Vergil wanted to use the Qliphoth against Dante mere moments before being defeated by Nero, yet was haꦇppy to undo his own work just because he lost to Nero in a figh📖t. Thereafter, he suddenly became a good guy overall, making amends with Dante and even joking about their rivalry.
1 🔜 The Deal With Nero's Arm
It’s not been explained just why Nero ever a demon a꧟rm to begin with. Dante and Vergil are supposed to be more powerful, yet have no corruption such as what Nero had. It was written in the Order’s notes in Devil May Cry 4 that he developed the arm after being injured as a child, but why that happened doesn’t align with established logic.
The likes of Nero, Dante, and Vergil get impaled by weapꦰons all the time, meaning they shouldn’t be getting injured in the first place. Even if that’s the c𝔉ase, why would one specific injury have caused Nero’s arm to mutate?
