In a post on , the company revealed that it has acquired Croatian developer Croteam after nearly a decade of a fruitful partnership. First teaming up together to release 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Serious Sam 3 back in 2011, pretty much every release since from the indie dev has been under the Devolver ban⭕ner. Now, every titℱle moving forward from the house of Sam will bear the same branding.
"Devolver has acquired Croteam...or maybe Croteam has acquired Devolver...who could really know at this point in the relationship," reads the announcement. "What's certain is that our future together is ultra exciting with new projects like The Talಌos Principle 2, more Serious Sam games, and original IP from Croteam and the Croteam Incubator studios."
While great news, this is probably the least surprising thing I've heard in 2020. Devolver and Croteam always seemed 💫like they were made for each other and I wonder what took this acquisition so long to happen. There may have bee🌼n some kind of legal issues or maybe Croteam was too busy with individual projects to finalize the legal documents. At least it finally has and this can only mean that Croteam will continue to be able to expand its ideas and make bigger and better games.
I may not have been too hot on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:recently released Serious Sam 4, but I've always appreciated Croteam for sticking꧟ to what it knows. At least the specific mention of The Talos Principle 2 means the idea isn't dead, despite having been kicked around for half a decade. Anything that brings us closer to more pu♌zzle goodness is great in my book.
