Diablo 4 has you dishing out some pretty ridiculous damage in the late game, as you take on more and more challenges to become as powerfu🎉l as you can possibly be. I consider it a win if I deal over a million damage to one of my enemies, but that's nothing compared to a bunch of Diablo 4 streamers that are managing to dish out billions of damage with relative ease.
It all started with Diablo 4 streamer Moxys, who started posting clips of themselves dealing over 1.8 billion damage with a single strike (thanks ). That's pretty impressive, but it was quickly topped by another streamer by the name of IBoilerUp, as fellow team member Echohack shared a screenshot of them dealing over 2 billion damage via their Twitter account. Given how quickly the record was broken, we may see clips of damage well over 2 billion damage beinಌg shared pretty soon.
If you're wondering how these streamers are acc🍬omplishing these momentous feats, it's all down to a ridiculously powerful Druid build that players have recently discovered. It's called a Shred Druid build and Moxys has kindly put together a video of how to actually make one yourself if you're up for terrorising some poor, helpless demons.
To sum it up, the damage essentially falls down to a number of things, one of them being the Aspect called Stormclaw which turns between 20 to 45 percent of the damage dealt by a Critical Strike with the Shred ability into Lightning Damage. By using the Waxing Gibbous axe to ensure 100 percent of attacks are Critical Strꦏikes, coupled with Shred's ab👍ility to deal 100 percent vulnerable damage, enemies that are vulnerable to lightning are essentially being hit with a four-time multiplier on top of the rest of the damage they receive, leading to the ridiculous numbers we see in these clips.
Moxys explains the build far better than I can here, so you can if you want to know more. You can also follow them on Twitch if you like watching people break video games, along with who does a similar kind of thing and recorded a similar amount of damage. All I know is that if I'm a demon in Diablo 4 and see a Druid running towards me, I'll be running in the opposite drไiection for dear life.
