10 ﷽ Koichi Fails To Reach His 🉐Brother
Say what you want about Digimon Frontier, but no one can deny its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:effective portrayal of trauma. For example; Duskmon. A Digimon that was initially an antagonist was revealed to be the brother of Koji Minamoto, one of the DigiDestined. If this twist wasn't enough, it's further revealed that Koichi Kimura was only in that situation because of his desire to meet his brother.
It's revealed that the twins' parents divorced when they were too young to remember each other with their mother taking Koji and their father Koichi. When Koichi learned that he had a brother, he became isolated. He obsessed over his brother and when the opportunity to meet him and reconnect, he fell down a flight of stairs and nearly died. The hopelessness and defeat he felt made his susceptible to Cherubimon's influence.
9 Wizardmon Sacrifice🍌s Himself
Through the course of Digimon Adventures, countless Digimon had been reverted into data. So much so that "death" didn't have the same sense of finality, especially considering Digimon always reverted into DigEggs to be reborn. It was only when the DigiDestined returned to the real world that they found out that, when a Digimon dies there, it's gone forever.
This concept is put to immediate effect as Wizardmon is felled by Myotismon in his attempt to protect Gatomon and the eighth child, Kari. The wizard Digimon's death is even more impactful as the audience learns how Gatomon saved Wizardmon in the past and his promise to one day return the favor. He may have kept his promise, but many wish he didn't.
8 🌱 Growlmon Scares Takato 🔥
Guilmon's innocent and curious nature coupled with the myriad of comedic moments he got himself into served to endear the red dinosaur to Digimon fans. As such, we were all ecstatic when he finally digivolved, but we were unprepared for the reaction his sudden change would instill within his partner, Takato.
Digivolution has always been a time for both Digimon and their partner to celebrate becoming stronger. Guilmon's digivolution, however, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:instilled fear. Seeing what his friend had become, Takato was visibly terrified. His fear was unfounded and even regretted as Growlmon began to 💎cry, pleading witꦑh Takato to not be afraid. Seeing someone cry is one thing, but that has nothing on seeing a dinosaur break down into tears.
7 Angemon's Showdown Against Devimon
In the original anime, every partner Digimon's digivolution was ended in jubilation. They evolved to overcome a difficult foe and the children celebrated. This formula drastically changed when it came to Patamon's first digivolution.
The overbearing power of Devimon proved too much for the chosen children. To contend with the devil Digimon's power, Patamon became Angemon and utilized the power of the children's digivices to deliver a decisive blow against Devimon. However, this attack came at a cost. Angemon used up the rest of his energy and faded into data all while TK's cried for his friend.
6 ༒ Tai Nearly Killed Kari 🦄
The concept of death was only touchꦑed a couple of times in the original anime. Yes, Digimon had "died" but they almost always reverted to DigiEggs. As such, the show was still fairly light-hearted. At least, it was until Tai revealed that he had nearly killed his little sister.
When they were younger, Kari caught pneumonia. In his ignorance, Tai brought her to the park to play soccer only for the little girl to faint and be rushed to the hospital. While this near-death experience was heart-breaking by itself, it's only worsened when Kari returns and her first words to her brother were "I'm sorry I can't kick the ball very good. You'll probably never want to play with me again." This entire episodဣe was just one gut pun♑ch after the other.
5 🔯 Beelzemon Destroys Leomon
It appears Leomon is doomed to perish in every anime he appears in. However, his death in Digimon Tamers hits a little harder than the others. For one thing, this Leomon is a partner Digimon. He wasn't just a one-off character, he was an integral part of the tamers' team.
Leomon bravely stood between his friends and Beelzemon, a Digimon far stronger than their entire group. He attempted to reason with Beelzemon, but his words fell upon deaf ears. The lion-hearted Digimon was struck down by the demonic Digimon. This scene is made even worse as his partner screams in horror🐎 and sadness as she watches Leomon fade away before her eyes.
4 Beelzemon's Attempted Redemption
Impmon had done a great many things that he openly regretted🍌. From breaking his partnership with his tamers to pushing away his fellow Digimon and their tamers, t꧂here were many things Impmon wished he could undo, but none more so than his first act as Beelzemon. Killing Leomon.
The trauma that he put Jeri through after killing her partner plagued the Digimon long after his defeat at the hands of Gallantmon. To make amends, Impmon digivolved into Beelzemon once more in hopes to free Jeri from the D-Reaper's clutches, going as far as using Leomon's signature move in an attempt to free the girl. Just as he was about to save her, Jeri recoiled upon seeing her partner's killer. At that moment, Beelzemon was dealt critical damage and failed to save Jeri.
3 ౠ Wormmon Reverts To A Digi-Egg 𒐪
Despite being Digimon Adventures 02's first antagonist, Ken Ichijouji's story is probably the most heartbreaking out of any DigiDestined. From losing his brother to being corrupted by the Dark Spore, this kid has been through the wringer. However, the worst thing to happen to him takes place at the tail end of his reign as the Digimon Emperor.
Having los🦄t control of his creation Kimeramon, Ken brutally whips his partner Wormmon. Tired of the abuse at the hands of his supposed partner, Wormmon gives his remaining power to Magnamon, so they could destroy Kimeramon once and for all. As a result, Wormmon dissolves into data while Ken helplessly holds him. While this serves as a wake-up call for the troubled youth, this scene was still heartbreaking to watch.
2 Oi🐼kawa Makes Ammends
Yukio Oikawa served as a major antagonist for the second set of DigiDestined. Shortly after his defeat at the hands of the original DigiDestined, Myotismon's spirit corrupted the man, forcing him to do heinous acts such as creating Digimon using his DNA and infecting children with the Dark Spore.
When Myotismon separated from Oikawa's body, the man finally realized what he'd done. After Myotismon was defeated, Cody attempted to bring Oikawa to the Digital World, allowing Oikawa to glimpse the world he and his brother dreamed of as well as his own partner Digimon. Knowing he was not long for the world, Oikawa used his remaining strength to heal the damage done to the Digital World, healing the world he had so longed to reach.
1 ♈ The Final Goodbye ✅
Like all stories, the end is always inevitable. This reality came all too soon for the original DigiDestined. R൩iding the tails of their victory over the Dark Masters, the eight children learned that the gate that connected their world to the Digital World would soon close. They would have to leave the Digital World and their partners or be trapped there forever.
What followed was scene after scene of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:tear-inducing interactions between each DigiDe꧋stined and their partner. Tears were shed and keepsakes were given before the children were forced to board the train to their world. The last thing they saw of the Digital World was their partners chasing after the train, waving and cryꩵing for their lost friends.
