In-Training level Digimon, or Baby II, are Digimon who have digivolved past their baby form but still aren't quite as combat-ready as their rookie level counterparts. Other than the virtual pets that came before it, In-Training level Digimon were first seen in both the Digimon Adventure movie and the Digimon Adventure anime series that followed.

There have been a t🔜on of new in-training Digimon since then, with many having shared characteristics with one of their rookie forms. But some In-training level Digimon are better than others, whether it be due to their abilities, design, or due to something else entirely.

10 Pagumon

As one may be able to tell from its appearance, Pagumon is a mean Digimon, and it enjoys bullying and mockᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚing other In-training level Digimon like Koromon and Tsunomon. Pagumon can also use its ear-like appendages as if they were hands, mocking tho🥃se it bullies by using offensive gestures. Pagumon have been seen in many of the Digimon anime series but first appeared in Digimon Adventure after taking over Koromon village and locking up all of the Koromon villagers. Pagumon also shares some characteristics with the rookie Mammal Digimon Gazimon, one of the rookie level Digimon it can Digivolve into.

9 Bukamon

Bukamon, or Pukamon in Japanese, based on pukapuka, the Japanese onomatopoeia for floating, really stands out among the other In-training Digimon introduced in the first episode of Digimon Adventure. Bukamon is the In-training form of Gomamon, Joe Kido's partner. Bukamon has a more saurian appearance than many of its digivolutions and has been said to move similarly to a seahorse.

Bukamon is also the only one with a flame-like appendage on its head, which likely turns into Gomamon's hair. Bukamon has more in common with the mega Digimon Plesiomon than any other possible digivolutions, as both have similar aquatic saurian traits.

TorikaraBallmon has one of the best names for a Digimon, and it was created from the data of deep-fried food recipes. It is said that TorikaraBallmon will make other Digimon hungry due to the smell they give off when flying by. TorikaraBallmon digivolves into Burgermon and EbiBurgamon, and is often seen hanging around them. TorikaraBallmꦐon were seen in both the Digimon Frontier anime series and the Digimon Adventure reboot anime series alongside ꦍboth the rookie and champion forms or Burgermon as well as with Potamon in the latter series. A Digimon that makes people hungry would be great for struggling restaurants.

7 𝄹 Demiveemon

The Baby Dragon Digimon, Demiveemon, or Chibimon in Japanese, is Veemon's In-training form, as those familiar with Veemon may be able to tell from its English name or appearance. While some In-training level Digimon have either hands or feet, DemiVeemon has both, an uncommon trait for Digimon of that level. It also loves sweet food and sleeping. In Digimon Adventure 02, Davis Motomiya's partner Veemon would usually dedigivolve to DemiVeemon when in the real world, which could also be used as a disguise for those unaware of the existence of Digimon to assume he's some kind of stuffed animal toy.

6 Xiaomon

Xiaomon is the In-training digivolution of Paomon and becomes much more doglike, gaining legs, a nose, and a tail. Xiaomon also happens to be the most commonly seen artificial In-training level Digimon. Xiaomon also happens to be one of the easiest Digimon to train, perhaps due to its real-life inspiration. While Xiaomon did not appear alongside its Digivolutions Labramon and Seasarmon in the Digimon Tamer: Battle of The Adventurers movie, a group of them did appear in the 𓄧Digimon Adventure reboot anime series on several occasiꦜons. Not much else can be said about Xiaomon, but it is an adorable Digimon.

5 Wanyamon

Wanyamon is a Digimon created from the data of small dogs and cats. Its name comes from a combination of Wan, the Japanese onomatopoeia for a dog barking,👍 and Nya, the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat meowing, but it looks more like a cat. Wanyamon are known for their quick movements and for becoming emotionally attached when treated like pets, which makes sense due to the data they w🧜ere created from.

While Wanyamon has never appeared in any anime series as its Digivolved form Gaomon has, a Wanyamon nicknamed Pete did appear in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth as Kyoko's assistant.

4 Motimon

Motimon, or Mochimon in Japanese, is an interesting Digimon in that it doesn't share any traits with its main Digivolution lines, both of which consist primarily of insect Digimon. Instead, Motimon looks more like the Pokemon Ditto. Motimon has elastic skin, and when it gets worked up, it will inflate its entire body, which causes it to look similar to mochi. Motimon also happens to be one of the most intelligent In-training level Digimon due to it being created from the data of a computer's dictionary. Because of the data it was created from, Motimon is also able to understand human languages.

3 Tokomon

Tokomon first appeared in the Digimon Adventure anime series as T.K.'s partner. Like most In-training Digimon, Tokomon usually has a rather cute appearance, but unlike the others, it can open its mouth to reveal rows of sharp teeth. While it has been said that individuals should be careful around Tokomon because it may bite, it has also been said that these teeth may be more of a scare tactic than a weapon. Besides Koromon, Tokomon probably has the most appearances of an In-training level Digimon partner in the original Digimon Adventure anime series and has been seen more often than others.

2 Kokomon

Kokomon is the In-training form of Lopmon and has a starring role in the movie Digimon Adventure 02: Hurricane Touchdown. Alongside Terriermon, Kokomon was Willis' other partner until it was infected by a virus. Throughout the movie, Willis, as well as the other Digidestined and their Digimon partners, still call Kokomon by his name despite the fact that he digivolves into several other Digimon throughout the movie.

Kokomon and Gummymon have the potential to be great friends despite the𓆏ir 𒐪opposing personalities and will act in unison, which may be the reason why they were referred to as brothers in the movie.

1 Koromon

Koromon is the most recognizable In-training level Digimon in the franchise, as well as the first to appear in animated form. Koromon first appeared in the Digimon Adventure movie, and unlike its baby form Botamon, it was now capable of speech, giving the audience the first known instance that Digimon could talk. It is said that Koromon's appearance is due to it shedding all the fur it once had as a Botamon and then growing bigger as a result. Koromon is more active than Botamon, but it has no combat ability besides blowing bubbles like many other In-training level Digimon.
