As the first color to be introduced in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Digimon Card Game, Red is one of the most popular archetypes around. Housing fan-favorite Digimon like t🉐he iconic dragon WarGreymon from the original Digimon Adventure anime, Red continues to get a bulk of support cards and fun new keywords with each set released.
In BT11 Dimensional Phase, not only did the color Red receive a ton of new support in the form of Phoenixmo👍n and OmniShoutmon, but the new keyword, Raid, 🐈was introduced, allowing Digimon to switch their attack target to an unsuspended Digimon. Raid can help Red decks remove powerful threats without the need for costly staples like Gaia Force.
8 Bearmon
One of the main three Digimon in Digimon World 3, Bearmon was lacking representation in the Digimon Card Game. Although he has been featured in previously released cards, they have all been cards without any effects — 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:also known as vanilla cards.
Although the new Bearmon f💮rom BT11 does not have his own On Play effect, he does have a powerful inheritable effect that pairs well with the new Raid keyword, buffing up your Digimon stack by 3,000 DP when the attack target is switched. Even if it is a conditional buff, 3,000 DP is a huge boost that will give you the attack you need to get over those bigger targets.
7 Birdramon
Biyomon decks finally got the love they deserve. Dimensional Phase came out of the gate with a brand-new line for Biyomon, centered around the new top end in Phoenixmon. The Biyomon deck has now become a Tamer-based deck that can generate value the more Tamers you have in play, but it can also stall out your opponents by recurring your Avian and Vaccine type Digimon using Phoenixmon's effect.
Like Birdramon, most of the new Avian Digimon have the Blocker keyword to protect your Security as you slowly build up the amount of Tamers that you have. Luckily, Birdramon's On Deletion effect lets you play a Tamer from your hand without paying its Memory cost.
6 Garudamon
Garudamon is BT11's Birdramon in an Ultimate Digimon rather than a Champion. Its Blocker keyword and On Deletion effect to play a Tamer card for free from your hand bodes well for this card, because Digivolving it on top of a Birdramon will turn on its inheritable effect.
The deck is not the most competitive by current format standards, but its playstyle to be able to generate value while chipping away at your opponent's Security is an interesting way to play the Digimon Card Game that we haven't seen until now.
5 ꦇ Grizzlymon 🥀
Grizzlymon is the first iteration of the newest keyword, Raid. With it, your Digimon can redirect their attacks to the unsuspended Digimon with the highest DP, allowing you to delete difficult and problematic Digimon on your opponent's board.
Although Grizzlymon is only a Champion with 5,000 DP, if built correctly, his stack can get as big as 8,000. At that much DP, Grizzlymon can easily trample over strong cards like Ultimate level Digimon, setting yourꦛ opponent back a couple of turns and punishing them for promoting to the battle area too quickly.
4 Biyomon
One of the biggest problems with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Red archetype is that it tends to be quite bricky in nature. High-cost Digimon and a playstyle centered on Ultꦦimate or higher-level Digimon mean your opening hands will not be good most of the time. Biyomon can help unclog those terrible hands by letting you search the top cards of your deck for a Digimon and a Tamer.
One of the best things about this Biyomon card is that, although it is support for the Phoenixmon line of Digimon, its effect is quite generic. Biyomon can search for a Vaccine Digimon — and if you know Digimon, you'll know that Vaccine is one of the four main types of Digimon. (Data, Virus, and Free being the other three.)
3 OmniShoutmon 𒊎
Xros Heart🐬 was a deck that was bound to get more support eventually. With the res☂triction of Shoutmon X4, the deck fell a bit short of what it could accomplish in BT10. With the release of a brand-new boss Digimon in Shoutmon X7 and other avenues of play with ZiegGreymon and the new OmniShoutmon, that has now changed.
This card gives the deck a bit more aggression than it previously had. The deck still tries to do small chip damage with the smaller bodies, but now with OmniShoutmon, not only does your stack get an extra Security Attack, but it also counts as a Shoutmon when used for a DigiXros. Since Shoutmon X7 already comes with the Rush keyword, using a regular Shoutmon for its DꦜigiXros is a bit redundant.
2 Phoenixmon 𒆙
It's about time that we got a good Phoenixmon card in the Digimon Card Game. This new Phoenixmon card can activate one of its On Deletion effects whenever a card is removed from your opponent's security. With the right stack, Phoenixmon could play a Digimon or a Tamer from the hand for free.
Phoenixmon ca🥂n play a Digimon with 3,000 or less DP, but for every Tamer you have in play, you can increase the threshold by 2,000 DP.꧅ With four Tamers in play, you can play another Phoenixmon for free!
1 G🔯rapLeomon 🐓
There are still only a few cards in the Digimon Card Game that have the Raid keyword, but as of BT11 GrapLeomon is one of the best. At 7,000 DP, GrapLeomon can get over many obstacle♚s, especially when you account for some of the DP boosts it may get from inheritable effects, possibly making him an 11,000 DP beater with Raid.
Not only is GrapLeomon a huge threat on the board, but its inheritable effect of trashing a card from your opponent's Security when you use Raid is one of the best in the game. GrapLeomon will become a staple in Red as more Raid cards are released.
