The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Digimon Card Game isn't the first card game based on the Digimon series to receive an international release, but it has managed to be the most popular so far. Despite its originality, it do🐬es still reuse a handful of previously used art from va🍸rious media sources.
Cards from the Classic Collection set reuse old Digi𝔍mon art the most, with some cards even imitating the layout of the original Digi-Battle Card Game. Since most of the art is just standard Digimon art on a static background, there are a small number of cards with art that stands out for various reasons.
10 I⛎mperialdramon Dragon Mode
Imperialdramon Dragon Mode is the Mega-level digivolution of Paildramon and is featured in the Classic Coꦫllection alongside almost all other Digimon from its digivolution line, except for Imperialdramon Fighter Mode and Wormmon.
In the cards' art, Imperialdramon is shown flying, similar to how it did during its digivolution animation from the Digimon Adventure 02 anime series, where it first debuted. In this animation, it also destroys a random castle by shooting a giant fireball from its mouth, which it looks like it's about to do here as well. It's also an improvement over the Digi-battle card it originally came from, as the background has been expanded to more clearly show that it's in the air.
9 Diaboromon 🐽
The Mega-level virus villain from Digimon Adventure: Our War Game was first available as one of the promotional Digi-battle Card Game cards that could be obtained by purchasing a ticket for Digimon The Movie. Diaboromon's previous stages are also available in the Classic Collection EX-01 but are less notable than the final stage itself.
Although the art used is standard Diaboromon art, it's one of the few evil Digimon to be put with a black background. Other evil Digimon, such as Devimon and VenomMyotismon, have dark cloudy backgrounds instead. This could represent the void of nothingness left after Diaboromon has endlessly consumed all data, and helps make it an even more terrifying Digimon than it already was from just its appearance.
8 War📖Greꦛymon
The most well-known Mega-level 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:digivolution of Agumon, the art on this WarGreymon card imitates its digivolution animation from the original Digimon Adventure anime series, in which it performs the same fire-sweeping motion using the "Dramon Destroyer" gauntlets on his arms, before loudly announcing his name. However, luckily the art doesn't use the same dated CG effects that the animation does.
The fire on the card that comes from WarGreymon's motion even goes past the card's border, as if Wargreymon is capable of attacks that are so powerful that they can go beyond the boundaries of a mere card game. WarGreymon is said to be one of the strongest Dramon-type Digimon, and even its simple movements being powerful enough to easily destroy nearby objects or weak Digimon helps show that.
7 🐼 MetalGreymon (Vaccine)
The vaccine version of MetalGreymon is one of the most recognizable Digimon to long-term fans. An ultimate-level Digimon, MetalGre✃ymon is most commonly known as the true ultimate form of Agumon due to its appearance in the Digimon Adventure anime series.
Rather than just standing as many Digimon do in their respective stock artwo🍃rk, each version of MetalGreymon is using i💮ts signature attacks: Giga Blaster or Metal Slash. The Giga Blaster pose is the more iconic of the two, as it has been used more often and also exemplifies the strangeness and awesomeness, as seeing a flying cyborg dinosaur shoot a smiling missile from its chest is a weird, yet prodigious, sight to see.
6 ♑ Emergency Program Shutdown 🍸
It's unclear exactly where the art for the option card Emergency Program Shutdown originally comes from, but it features a sleeping Cherrymon with several smaller Digimon, such as Koromon, Nyokimon, Palmon, and Biyomon, stuck within its branches.
Although Cherrymon usually has a more terrifying appearance, with its glowing yellow eyes and creepy hand-like branches, this card makes it look more like an adorable and nonthreatening sleepy senior Digimon. In some Digimon media, Cherrymon is a protector of weak Digimon, so it's possible those smaller Digimon were invited to use its branches as shelter and are having trouble adjusting themselves. Either way, Emergency Program Shutdown's art is adorably humorous
5 Fight For Yo🌌ur Pr🦄ide!
The Option card Fight For Your Pride! reuses art originally from the Digita💯l Monster ver. Pendulum Art Book, and was reused for the Fight For Your Pride card in the Digi-battle Card game. Th🍎is art features Myotismon sitting on his throne and classily drinking a substance that looks similar to red wine or blood.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网: servant DemiDevimon is behind the throne pouring what seems to be cans of tomato juice into another wine glass, in turn making Myotismon seem less threatening than he'd probably like to come off and adding a bit of humor to the otherwise classy-looking artwork.
Meanwhile, Myotismon's4 Tyrannomon ℱ
Tyrannomon was the first Digimon ever created, and yet, like its Pokemon counterpart Rhydon, it rarely gets much focus in Digimon media. The art of Tyrannomon its👍elf may be fairly standard, but mixꦛing it with a particular background makes the art of this card more significant.
This card's background uses similar colors and sprite art as the box art and insert art used for the original Digital Monster V-Pet, in which Tyrannomon happened to be one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Champion-level Digimon that Agumon could digivolve into. It may not stand out as much as other cards in the Classic Collection, but its significance to the franchise's history should not be ignored.
3 𒉰 Analog Youth
Illustrated by veteran Digimon designer Kanji Watabe, the Tamer card Analog Youth features the protagonist of the first 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Digimon World video game. Known by the nickname Mameo in Digimon World: Next Order due to the Mamemon logo on his beanie, he's probably starting to go on an adventure alongside many obtainable Digimon from his debut game. There are so many Digimon packed within this artwork that it can be difficult to spot them all.
An alternate version of this card, also illustrated by Watanabe, features only Mameo, Botamon, and Koromon, with Mameo in a stomping pose, as if he is pretending to be a Digimon himself. While it isn't the worst alternate art, it pales to the nostalgic Digimon parade.
2 Machinedraꦐmon 🍃
A 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mega-level Digimon that first debuted in the Digimon Adventure anime series as one of the four Dark Masters. Machinedramon has remained a si🐻gnificant Digimon over the years as it even got an expanded role in Digimon World: Next Order. While there is also a Machinedramon card with more standard art in the Classic Collection, this alte꧒rnate version is more in line with the other modern cards from the Digimon Card Game.
Illustrated by Sasasi, this particular art shows Machinedramon in a roaring position, as if it's either readying an attack or is waking up just after its creation in a Frankenstein's monster-like fashion. This would be in line with its lore that claims it's made from the combined parts of other cyborg Digimon.
1 ♑ Ultimate Connection ♏
The art for the Option card Ultimate Connection originally comes from the Japan-exclusive Digital Monster - Artbook Ver.1~5&20th and sees five Ultimate-l🐠evel cyborg Digimon together, including MetalGreymon, Megadramon, Andromon, MetalMamemon, and MetalTyrannomon, reacting to the Mega-level Digimon Machinedramon.
This is likely another reference to Machinedramon's lore, which claims it is the perfect cyborg Digimon, with others being considered its prototypes. When looking closely at Machinedramon, you can also tell which parts it inherits from the other cyborg Digimon featured in the card's art. There are additional details as well, such as Andromon's exposed brain from having its helmet removed for Machinedramon's knee, and one of the arms of both MetalGreymon and Megadramon being on Machinedramon instead.
