Bandai's preference for the blue color in the Digimon Card Game is not a secret to anyone. With every passing s𒆙et, blue continues to get tons of new support for their old decks or brand-new archetypes outright. In ꦍBT10 Xros Encounter, the new stun strategy found in Blue Flare, combined with the new DigiXros mechanic, makes blue cards almost invaluable to any fan of the strategy.
With powerful Digimon like the new MetalGreymon and cards to draw your entire deck with Deckerdrꦓamon. Blue Flare threatens the new meta de🎐cks that enjoy building wide boards with many Digimon in the Battle Area.
10 Bebydomon
🅷Generic DigiEgg cards are very few and far between. With cards like Upamon and DemiVeemon running amok, constantly giving you an extra card every turn, cards like Bed🅠ydomon are a nice addition to the blue card pool.
In a meta where most of the top-tier decks are constantly playing out Digimon by card effects, like Jesmon or Bloomlordmon, Bedydomon's effect will almost always trigger since your opponent will have two or more Digimon in play most of the time.
9 Gaossmon
With the new Save keyword, most rookies in Xros Encounter can play an aggressive game without worry. Gaossmon, rather than having a Save ability, car🧸ries an old-fashioned On Deletion effect. When Gaossmon is deleted, you can play out a level four Digimon suspended for free.
This effect combos quite well with the many level four Digimon that the Blue Flare deck includes. That means netting you extra c꧑ard draw with Deckerdramon or letting you play out a Kiriha Aonuma for free😼 with Mailbirddramon.
8 Deckerdramon ꦐ
Deckerdramon is one of the most powerful cards in blue at the moment. Only five memory to play ge♊t you a draw one effect, but depending on how many Digimon your opponent has in play, you get to draw one more for each.
When playing against decks like Jesmon, that are constantly playing Sistermon 🎐cards for free, Deckerdramon can help you match their tempo by drawing your deck in one go. Being able to be played out for free through Gaossmon only increases its value.
7 Greymon
Even with blue's consistency, extra search always comes in handy. Greymon is the searcher for the Blue Flare deck and costs four memory to play. Not only can its cost be cheated out by the Gaossmon effect, but Greymon can grab two Blue Flare cards out of its search or even grab MetalGreymon from the trash instead.
It also has t🎀he Save keyword, so🧔 it can be recycled for future DigiXros plays.
6 ☂ MailBir𒉰dramon
Another one of Blue Flare's many level four Digimon. MailBirdramon is the card that on play lets you play a Kiriha Aonuma from your hand for free. Setting you up for the next turn with a guaranteed three memory.
If played out through the Gaossmon deletion effect, MailBirdramon becomes a very powerful setup card since it gives you a replacement body for the Gaossmon you just lost, plus a Tamer card for future Save plays and extenders for MetalGreymon's DigiXros to pressure your opponent further.
5 💖 Kiriha ꦿAonuma
Just like most decks rele🌱ased in Xros Encounter, the Blue Flare relies heavily on Save mechanics and having a specific Tamer card on the board. The Tamer card for Blue Flare is Kiriha Aonuma.
Not only is Kiriha a memory fixer, whichܫ allows you to start your turn with three memory guaranteed, but also lets you use previously Digimon cards that were Saved underneath your Tamers for a DigiXros. Constantly recycling resources allows you to be more aggressive with your plays.
4 🥃 MetalGreymon
Although MetalGreymon is an Ultimate-level card, he is actively changing how the Rookie rush style of deck is played. The honorary boss Digimon of Blue Flare can be played for only a cost of three memory when DigiXrossing with two other cards, it gains Rush, and it freezes your opponent's Digimon as long as they have fewer Digivolution cards than MetalGreymon. Using cards like Howling Memory Boost can help achieve this quickly.
Not only is MetalGreymon a powerful cheap card for early aggression, but if somehow it is deleted, you can ▨use its Material Save effect to save your Greymon and MailBirdramon for a second MetalGreymon.
3 Blazing Memory Boost! ♊ꦑ
It may seem like an expensive card at first since most memory boost cards usually cost three memory to play, but when you see that it reveals six cards, grabs two Blue Flare cards, AND plays a Kiriha Aonuma from among them while still having a Delay effect of giving you two memory next turn, playing this card for five memory doesn't feel that bad after all.
If yo💟u reveal the correct cards by playing Blazing Memory Boost, you could have up to five memory at the start of the turn. Nowadays, five memory can net you a lot of big playꦦs.
2 Plasmaℱ Deckerdra Launcher ﷽
At times, the Blue Flare deck feels like an anti-meta deck. Most cards in Blue Flare trigger their effects once the opponent has more than one Digimon in play. The same thing goes for Pla🔯sma Deckerdra Launcher.
A simple removal card whose gimmick is that its cost can be reduced by two as long as the opponent has two or more Digimon. PDL can only return a level six Digimon or higher, but its biggest boon to the Blue Flare deck is in its Security effect. When checked in Security PDL can return any Digimon to the opponent's hand, giving the opponent another constant threat among blue's many pesky Option cards.
1 DeckerGreymon 𓄧
Although a bit more costly than MetalGreymon, DeckerGreymon is another excellent addition to the Blue Flare archetype. With the powerful Armor Purge mechanic, which didn't see much play outside of Veemon Armor Rush decks, DeckerGreymon is the aggressive go-to card in the archetype.
Doing a combo with a MetalGreymon that survived its Security check and DigiXrossing into DeckerGreymon allows you to stun up to four of your opponent's Digimon, leaving you to set up your Battle Area for victory next turn freely.
