Digimon partners have been a staple of video games based on the IP since the first Digimon World game, but depending on which title you look at, they haven't always been similar to the Digimon partners seen in the various anime series.

The visual novel and strategy JRPG 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Digimon Survive, however, has preassigned Digimon partners for each human character, and is written as if it were an anime s✃eries — albeit much darker than what most Digimon fans are used to. Each Digimon partner has their own characteristics, personalities, abilities, and more, but some are still better than others due to these factors.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major story spoilers for Digimon Surv♒ive.

11 Garurumon

digimon survive garurumon

Garurumon, who was a Gabumon during the game's prologue scene, is Professor Haru's partner. However, this isn't revealed for a long time, because the Professor only has vague memories of his brief time in the digital world.

For most of the game, Garurumon is a minor antagonist who doesn't like humans, but is more disgusted by other Digimon partners and sees them as traitors. He doesn't care for the Master's followers either. After a while, Garurumon's tough guy act becomes annoying, and if he didn't reformat at one point, it wouldn't be terrible to see him devoured by the fog.

10 Renamon

digimon survive renamon

Renamon, who appears during the prologue and seemingly disappears until later on, is Miyuki's partner. For most of the game, he is disguised as Miyuki's brother Haru, although it takes a while for the Professor to realize just how similar Haru looks to how he did fifty years previously.

Due to the evil entity known as The Master ripping his partner's soul in half, Renamon is devoted to saving her — even if that means sacrificing other human children to do it. Renamon is somewhat misguided, but he comes around eventually and is at least less annoying than Garurumon.

9 ✅ Fanglongmon

fanlongmon & ruin mode

Fanglongmon, also called Huanglongmon, is Haruchika's partner, and is only encountered in the game's true ending. Fanglongmon, or rather his new Ruin Mode form, serves as the final boss of the game in the true ending. This is after being separated from his partner, since they had been a mysterious entity known as the Master for a thousand years.

While it's neat that Fanglongmon gets a new form, due to previously established lore, it doesn't make sense that he is someone's partner. Nor does it make sense that the four Digimon Sovereigns sealed him, as he is the DNA-digivolved form of all four of them.

8 Falcomon

digimon survive falcomon

Falcomon is Minoru's partner and, for some reason, has a different design than Falcomon from 2006 — despite having some of the same digivolutions. Falcomon and Minoru start their relationship well, but at a certain point, Minoru has doubts about Falcomon and the other Digimon partners.

During this time, Falcomon has his own fear and doubts about possibly harming his partner should something go wrong. While it is somewhat understandable for Falcomon to have that fear, due to his positive relati💖onship with his partner, it comes off as irrational. At least the drama is only temporary, if unnecessarily dra🥀wn out.

7 Dracmon

digimon survive dracmon

Dracmon is Kaito's partner, and provides a more laidback attitude to counter Kaito's more serious tone — although they have similar personalities otherwise. It can be hard to get used to how Kaito and Dracmon talk to each other due to their brashness, but it's not an issue once it's understood that this is how they show affection.

In some story paths, Dracmon even reluctantly attempts to help Kaito with his revenge in both worlds. Dracmon does this by permanently ཧD🐼NA-digivolving with antagonist Piedmon to become Boltboutamon, essentially giving up his individuality to help his partner achieve his destructive goals.

6 Syakomon

digimon survive syakomon

Syakomon is Miu's partner and is honest and outspoken, never afraid to tell her partner how she feels about a situation — even if they disagree. She will also do anything to protect Miu and would never leave her, especially during dangerous situations.

From the scene they're first introduced in, it's easy to tell that Miu and Syakomon became friends fast, perhaps just as fast as Takuma and Agumon. Syakomon also helps Miu deal with her growing maturity and independence, and understands that she doesn't want her brother to feel like he always has to protect her.

5 Floramon

digimon survive floramon

Floramon is Saki's partner, and they get along well because they both have similarly upbeat personalities. Although Saki usually says what's on her mind, her feelings can sometimes overwhelm her and cause her to worry. Nevertheless, Floramon's always by her side to encourage her to talk things out.

Because Floramon and Saki are always together and constantly talking, Floramon knows her partner well relatively early on. She can easily understand her feelings, even if they're unclear to other characters. Floramon's digivolutions are also great, because they're all weird-looking plant Digimon that Saki doesn't know what to think of at first. Still, she appreciates Floramon all the same.

4 Labramon

digimon survive labramon

Labramon is Aoi's partner, and like the animal she is based on, is very dedicated and affectionate towards her. She also has an energetic personality to go along with Aoi's more modest demeanor. One might think this would cause problems, but contrarily, they have one of the most positive relationships in the game and are always looking out for each other.

As Aoi essentially becomes the group's caretaker, treating everyone's injuries and ensuring they're fed while stuck in the Digital World, Labramon doesn't mind helping Aoi with her duties. However, she always tells her not to overwork herself if she's tired.

3 Kunemon

digimon survive kunemon

Kunemon is a classic Digimon that has had some minor roles in the past, but never had a significant role until Digimon Survive. For some, Kunemon may seem irritating since he can't speak, instead only saying "kew" whenever trying to communicate, but he's still relatively expressive for a bug monster.

Despite his lack of speech, he always tries to help whenever he thinks he can, making him easier to appreciate. There are also some comedic moments when he digivolves, from fighting obviously weaker Digimon to becoming able to speak temporarily. This all just increases Kunemon's likeability factor even more.

2 Lopmon

digimon survive lopmon

Lopmon is Shuuji's partner and, for about half of the game, is treated like garbage by Shuuji due to his own issues. Despite this, Lopmon always tries his best to help Shuuji, even when constantly being mistreated.

Lopmon is somewhat timid, but that shouldn't be mistaken for weakness. When he puts his mind to it, he can call upon his inner strength and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:digivolve into more powerful forms, just like the others. While the true ending path has Ryo scolding Shuuji, other paths have Lopmon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dark digivolving and devouring Shuuji. Either 🧔way, Shuuji learns his lesson, even if one way is harsher than the other.
