While the Dino Crisis series probably isn't considered a top tier horror franchise, it d⛄efinitely had ♔a significant following and now it has been remade using Unreal Engine.
The series got two sequels and a light gun game. However, fans of dinosaur-based horror haven't gotten much love from Capcom for the past decade and a half, as the last Dino Crisis game was released all the way back in 2003.
However, there looks to be a surprising beacon of hope for those who crave another giant lizard related crisis. While Capcom still isn't giving Dino Crisis 168澳洲幸运🍸5开奖网:the big remake trea👍tment like it did to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2, a team of talented fans is taking it upon itself to recreate the game a🐲nd give fans a chance to get scared by velociraptors in the modern era.
Team Arklay is a small development team that is remaking Dino Crisis using Unreal Engine 4. It has that show some promise when it comes to recreating the o𒉰riginal game with faꦆncy new graphics.
Most of the videos show off various rooms that have been redesigned, so we actually haven't seen what theꦚ dinosaurs are going to look like in glorious high definition g🅠raphics. That being said, what is shown in these videos does look good, and even without the reptiles, the sense of dread is already palpable.
It is important to note that this is a fan project, which means that the team is likely not getting paid to do this. So, taking that into account, you probably shouldn't expect to see this remake released anytime soon. Taking the entirety of a game like Dino Crisis and recreating it with painstaking detail in a modern engine is going to take a lot of time and effort, so fans of prehistoric 🌟jump scares are going to have to be patient.
That is, of course, if Capcom's legal department doesn't decide to put the kibosh on the whole remake altogether. Major game developers tend to be pretty litigious when it comes to fans messing around with 🐷their intellectual properties. There's a figurative graveyard that's filled with fan projects that have been squashed by companies like Konami, Square Enix, and the king of fan game shutdowns, Nintendo. Unfortunately, there's a chance that this remake may be hit with a cease and desist order before the team has even designed its first tyrannosaurus.
Capcom isn't doing anything with the Dino Crisis series, so hopefully it'll leave Team Arklay alone and let it work on giving fans a better scary dinosaur experience than Jurassic World. Maybe the team's work will be so gܫood that Capcom will hire it on to make the game for re﷽al, or at least inspire Capcom to finally make a new game in the series.
No matter what happens, this project demonstrates that even in these troubling times, the world could always use another Dino Crisis.
