He is an investor and entrepreneur, and he's so rich that he can bend light. Talking to him opens up investment opportunities and, like everyone else you speak to, you can ask him for some money.
6 🐠 Elizabeth And The Hardies
There's no getting around talking to this group, and at first, it may seem like a humiliating exercise in futility. Elizabeth Beaufort is the legal consultant for Titus Hardie and his workers' union informally known as The Hardie Boys.
If you first speak to her while she's outside, she will introduce herself as a gardener, and hand over a useful pair of gloves. Arguments with the Hardies can get intense, but getting them to slip up and blurt out real clues that help you along is a big win.
5 🧔 Joyce Messier And Wild Pines
Before the water lock is opened, Joyce can be found docked near the apartments in the northwest area of Martinaise, past the bookstore. She later moves near the fishing village. She is a wealthy ultraliberal who represents Wild Pines, a management monopoly meddling in the workers' affairs.

René, a grumpy royalist, can be found near Kim's motor carriage playing a ball game with his rival and neighbor, Gaston. Gaston is a contrarian, friendly and optimistic and the perfect opposite of his reluctant friend René.
You can make an attempt to join their game, and afterwards have a conversation about their history and how they came to be in Martinaise. René has a lot to say about the world that he's seen all these years, and he's practically the local authority on the lore of Revachol.
