To collect bottles, you’ll need to first equip the plastic bag in one of your hands. Y✃ou can find onꦉe to the left of the Whirling-In-Rags, down the stairs to the coast where the drunken man is sleeping on the first day.
Once you’ve got it equipped, you gain the incredible power to pick up bottles and cans🤪. These are scattered all aro♉und Martinaise, partly in the wake of the Detective’s bender, and can be stored in the bag.
- While the bag is equipped, bottles can be highlighted with the right mouse button.
While you’ve got the bag out, you will notice that the coins wꦦill also be highlighted, offering two ways to make money at once.
After you’ve got some bottles in your bag, you can take them to the Fritte, just to the right of the Whirling-In-Rags, and deposit them in the bottle bank. Each one deposited makes you 0.10 reál. It's not a lot of money but it can be a useful buffer as you fꦕind other w𒁃ays to support yourself.
How To Sell Postcards In Disco Elysium
While searching the world you will probably come across several postcards. These pretty snapshots offer tiny glimpses into ꦑthe rest oꦅf the world for anyone that doesn’t have a lot of points in Encyclopaedia.
But more usefully, they also have a monetary value and there’s someone willing to buy them from you not far from the Whirling-In-Rags. Should you come across any during your investigation then you should head over to the pawnshop during the day.
The pawnshop can be found down from the Whirling-In-Rags, next to the broken canal walkway. Head inside and speak to Bird’s Nest Roy and you can offer to pawn some items.

The two biggest players in Martinasie when you start Disco Elysium are Evrart Claire, the leader of the dockworker’s union which is currently on strike, and Joyce Messier, the Wild Pines nego▨tiator who is tr๊ying to end the strike.

Evrart will try and hand you a cheque when you first arrive in his office, which can be freely accepted but you’ll probably have to sit in the awful chair to get it. He's found in his office on the docks, but you'll have to get past Measurehead to speak to him.
Joyce is less upfront about it, and won’t even let you ask until you show her your (lost) badge or convince her you don’t need to. After that, all you have to do is ask her for some money, and she’ll give you some freely. You can find her on her boat to the far left of the Whirling-In-Rags if you follow the coa💖stal path all🅘 the way to the end. She does ask you to give her a figure so be careful what you ask for.
