Who Is Melodia?

Melodia is the questionably designed, infinitely hateable, and frustratingly endearing stalker of main protagonist Zed. Throw in delusional, and dangerous, and you have yourself a character. Mechanically, she is an ice-fuelled Red Mage, and this makes ♒her an excellent pick for any team.

Why Use Melodia?

Melodia is the first magic-based character you meet in Disgaea 6, and this makes her a hot commodity. She has skills and abilities that you simply can’t get anywhere else, and those just so happen to be great. She can launch devastating magical assaults, whilst supporting your team - often at the same time.

What Weapon Does Melodia Use?

Melodia is proficient in two weapons, but only one is worth considering.

Melodia loves to use Bows and Spears, although, her skills very much push her down the path of the Bow. She is also a capab𝔉le Stave user, and if you want to make use of her non-unique Ice Magic, then packing one would be the ideal choice.

Melodia’s Unique Evilities

Melodia has two unique evilities, and they are:

Heroine’s Temper is almost good enough to change your entire team composition to accommodate it. That 20% is a nice little increase. Unfortunately, some of the best classes in the game are actually females - m⭕aking this a slightly harder sell than you might originally think. Still, it doesn’t hurt to have, and the characters who do benefit will be grateful.

Matrimonial Might is just a straight buff. There is no reason not to run Zed on every mission. A 30% increase to damage is very nice. The only downside is that Melodia’s focus doesn’t tend to✅ be on damage. If you run more damage-focused Melodia, h⛄owever, she takes off thanks to this.

Melodia’s Unique Attacks

Melodia’s skills either have no scaling, or they scale off of ATK & HIT. Not only that, but in terms of damage, they are very weak. This mak🅷es her offence very weak if you are 🎶relying on her unique skills.

Her support abilities are excellent, however. Floral Shower is a straight buff to most units regardless of location, and Passionate Approach allows you to turn a powerful character into an unstoppable blender. Both are worth taking Melodia for.

Remember that Melodia also has access to Ice magic in addition to her unique abilities.

How To Use Melodia

Melodia is a pretty straightforward character. You don’t want her to fight on the frontlines, but you do want her close enough to use her magic. None of her unique offensive magic is very good, so if you want damage, consider using a Stave and using her generic Ice Magic which is MUCH stronger.

Her real strength comes from support, however. Whether it is her Evilities or her Skills, Melodia will enhance any team she is in - no matter where she is standing. She is an easy pick on any team and fills just about every roll. You could even c🀅onsider using Scrolls to give her access to even more support (or offensive) spells.
