Pokemon as a series grew a large fan base thanks in large part to the relationships between Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon partners they develop bonds 𒆙with. Outside of Meowth from the anime and a few other exceptions, most of these Pokemon say their name or make noises, but never speak.

The world of Disney has plenty of animal companions as well, and it's interesting to look at the creatures that have deep bonds with a human but also can't clearly communicate using human language. Sure they can't use elemental powers, but as previously mentioned Pokemon is about the trainer and Pokemon bonds and not necessarily that the creatures have superpowers. Here are the Disney animals that may as well be Pokemon.

8 Abu (Aladdไin)ꦫ

Abu 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:from Aladdin is the mischievous little monkey that accompanies Aladdin during all the thief's heist jobs. The tiny monkey is easily recognizable thanks to both its vest and the tiny little fez it wears on its head.

Aladdin and Abu tend to get on each other's nerves from time to time, but when it matters most they showed that they have each other's back. This relationship even made its way to live-action via Disney's adaptation of the classic animated movie.

7 Pua (Moana﷽)

For as large and messy as pigs can become in adulthood, they fall in line with other animals whose younger forms are unbearably lovable. Pua is the name of a pot-belly pig that appears in the movie Moana and serves as the titular character's best friend.

Pua acts much more like a puppy than it does a piglet, but that's partially why audiences found the spotted thing so endearing. Pua had a larger role in earlier drafts of the film, but despite only being a minor character, it still left a mark in terms of showcasing its bond with Moana.

6 ♌ 🐓 Hayabusa (Mulan)

When people think of Disney and animal companions they'll likely only remember the heroes and the hysterical comic relief sidekicks that join them on their journey.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The villains of the Disney universe aren't without their own animal companions and Hayabusa from Mulan happens to be arguably the most terrifying of the bunch. It's the falcon that rests on the shoulder of Shan Yu and aids him in his brutal attempt to conquer everything in his path. It serves as a primary scout and aerial assault unit on the battlefield.

5 Djali (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) 🐠

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is an incredible Disney movie but happens to be one of the deeper cuts in the company's catalog. That's why bringing up Djali is probably a head-scratcher to most, as they might not even remember the charismatic goat at Esmeralda's side.

He comes in clutch on several occasions, making it clear that 𒉰his bond with Esmerelda is core to who he is. In terms of appearance, he resembles your average goat, except for the giant golden hoop earring on his right ear.

4 ൩ Cri-Kee (Mulan)

Cri-kee on a rock

Those reading this entry, like those who watched the live-action version of Mulan, are likely upset that Mushu is nowhere to be found. The problem is that he is a sentient creature capable of human speech, and therefore doesn't qualify for this list.

Cri-Kee on the other hand happens to strangely influence Mulan's life despite never exchanging words with the fearsome warrior. At multiple points in the movie, it's also brought up that the purple cricket might actually imbue luck on those around it.

3 Bruno's Rats

Bruno with his rats

Unlike every other animal on this list, the rats that Bruno has trained in Encanto don't have specific names. What they do have though is an incredible bond with the Madrigal's black sheep, who hides away from the rest of his family.

They listen to him, protect his secrecy, and serve as a small army if need be. In some ways, they're the perfect animal kingdom counterpart to Bruno. Something that feels misunderstood by those around them, and is much more friendly and empathetic than given credit for.

2 Meeko &🀅 Flit (Pocahontas)ꦕ

Pocahontos with Meeko and Flit by her shoulders.

This entry may seem like cheating due to it being a pair of characters, but it wouldn't feel right to include one and not the other. Pocahontas is a divisive film that overlooks a lot of the realities and historical truths tied to the events that it tries to portray.

An enjoyable aspect of it, though, is the two animal companions at Pocahontas' side that help her when she's in trouble, but also serve as classic Disney comic relief. Meeko is a raccoon who is obsessed with food and finding its next meal, while Flit is a hummingbird packed with a ton of energy and personality.

1 Stitch (Lilo & Stit🐲ch)

Lilo and Stitch in a hammock

Not only is Stitch the most obvious example of a Pokemon in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the world of Disney, but one could argue all the experiments featured in the⛎ movies ﷽and television shows have a case as well.

Almost all the experiments have a special power that is reminiscent of the Pokemon series. Stitch is a recognizable mascot for Disney, and like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ash and Pikachu from the Pokemon anime, Stitch and Lilo's unbreakable bond is the driving force as to why the series is so beloved. When Stitch reveals its 'true form' with multiple arms and such, in a way it's like he is temporarily changing forms, similar to the Mega Evolution mechanic found in the Pokemon series.
