Earlier today, Gameloft Montreal, the developers b𝓡ehind Disney Dꦰreamlight Valley, . The currently untitled console and PC game will be a survival role-playing game life sim, which certainly seems in line with what Gameloft is known for.

Alongside the announcement, a single piece of concept art was shared that shows a dragonborn, elf, and what appears to be a human resting at a campfire while a dragon flies overhead. If the concept art does represent the final game's art style, then it looks like it's going to be a more cartoony and friendly affair than something like Baldur's Gate 3.

, Gameloft described the untitled D&D game as being set in the mythical Forgotten Realms and having gameplay that is focused on cooperative play and an "innovative hybrid" of survival, life simulation, and action RPG mechanics. It's also confirmed that the game will retain the "rich lore" that Dungeons & Dragons is known for, so it won't just be focused on the real-time survival gameplay.

"Set in the mythical Forgotten Realms with a unique cooperative gameplay built around an innovative hybrid of survival, life simulation and action RPG. Players can expect an adventure where the rich lore of this legendary franchise meets real-time survival in a unique campaign of resilience, camaraꦬderie, and danger at nearly every turn."

Beyond that description, there's not much else that we know about the upcoming D&D game right now, as it seems to be quite early in development. Gameloft Montreal also took the opportunity to advertise some open roles at its studio working on the game, so it seems that it's still going to be quite a ways off.
