You can hang out with your favorite Disney characters while you try to solve the mystery behind The Forgetting plaguing the valley. During your time here, you'll need certain resources in some quests.
Usually, you'd get a hint on where to find these items from the Collection tab, or the quest itself. But the game doesn't tell you exactly where to find them, which can make it difficult to get certain items like Iron Ore to craft Iron Ingot.

How To Find Iron Ore In Disney Dreamlight Valley
At the beginning of the game, Plaza and Peaceful Meadows are the only areas that are unlocked for the players to explore. Unfortunately, you won't be able to find the required Iron Ore in these areas. You have to progress through the game and unlock further areas where this ore is available.
The biomes that you can unlock in order to find iron ore are:
- Glade of Trust
- Forest of Valor
- Sunlit Plateau
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands
These areas can be accessed from different locations, but they'll be blocked by night thorns. You'll need to progress the main quest until you fix the Pillar of Friendship in Peaceful Meadows. Once that is done, you can unlock any area you want as far as you have enough Dreamlight for them.
Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor are the best areas to find Iron Ore since you start ge🌞tting Gold Nuggets in the other regions mentioned above, with a much lower chance to drop Iron.
Once you're in the required area, look for black-colored rocks on the edges. These are the rocks where you'll find all the Gems in Disney Dreamlight Valley as well. Mining these rocks has a chance of dropping Stone, Coal, Gems, and Iron Ore.
In some areas, these can be hard to spot at nighttime. So, a simpler method is to run along with the edges with your Pickaxe in hand. Whenever you get close to one of these rocks, they will light up in white color, making it easier to spot them.
Upon getting a character to friendship level two, you can assign a task to them. One of these tasks is Mining, and when you perform this task while hanging out with the character, it gives you a chance to get extra Iron Ore. The ore needs to be the last thing you get when you break the rock for this to work♉.
How To Craft Iron Ingots
Once you have enough Iron Ore, you can head over to the Refined Material tab on any Crafting Table on the map. Here, you can craft Iron Ingots using the following it⛄ems:
- Five Iron Ingots
- One Coal
These items can be used at the table even if they're in one of your Storage boxes, so they don't have to be in your inventory. While you have a limited supply of nodes that drop Iron Ore, they respawn quickly.
