The caves in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Don't Starve have led many new and inexperienced players into a spiral of insanity. Dark, full of monsters, and difficult to navigate if the player doesn't know what they're getting themselves into, the caves in Don't Starve are an unforgiving wilderness. But that doesn't mean that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:players with varying playstyles can't explore them.
With the right approꦇach (and the best gear), the underground caves aren't too bad. There is lots of loot to be had for the bravest adventurers. Handle the lack of light, the changing conditions, and the always-falling sanity, and the caves will feel like a jaunt through a field filled with cute Bunnymen.
10 Opening The S♚inkhole
Plugged Sinkholes are located overground across the map. Once opened up (with a pickaxe) a hole into the caves appears, allowing the player to descend into an entirely new map. Befor🎶e you begin your caving adventure, it pays to be prepared. You won't last long in the dark as a new player or fres𒊎h spawn.
Likewise, if you start smashing open every sinkhole you see, there are going to be some problems. Basilisks will now emerge at Dusk and roam the area close to the sinkhole. They're formidable enemies. While this ranks a bit higher on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:"not for beginners" tier, nothing is impossible, right?
9 It'sꦉ Dark, Ver🔯y Dark
By far the biggest obstacle to becoming a self-su🦂staining Don't Starve cave dweller is the lack of light. If you've played even a small amount of Don't Starve you probably know about the darkness bogie lady, Charlie. This spectral force of darkness attacks the player when they find themselv☂es in complete darkness.
There is no escape. The only way to stop taking damage is to find a light source as quickly as possible. Down in the caves, darkness permeates everything. You need reliable sources of light. Plural. If only Willow could harness her 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:desire to burn everything into creating a perpetual torch.
8 Take Both A Lantern and a Miner𒈔's Helmet
These two items are essential for navigating the dark caves. Although a playe🥂r might consider taking one of these two items, it better if you take both. A Miner's Helmet prevents a 🐎player from wearing head armor but is generally more efficient than the Lantern.
The only problem with the Lantern is that it means you can't wield a weapon at the same time. If you try and get꧒ your club out with the lantern attached, your character will just drop the lantern on the ground. No good if you're trying to light up your passage through the caves. It's a good idea to take both these light sources and alternate between the two.
7 🍰 There Are Some Natural Light Sources 𒊎
The caves aren't all doom and gloom. There are occasional natural light sources, such as the aptly-named light bulb bushes (these spawn randomly throughoutꦓ the caves) and shafts of light that fall through cracks in the ceiling.
While a player is down in the caves the Day/Night cycle of the surface continues to spin, even if it's not obvious ไwhen you're deep underground. One way to tell whether it's day or night is to watch for the light that falls through natural cracks in the ceiling of the caves.
6 Set Up Your Base In The Natural Light ꦉ
These natural light shafts, beacons in the dark, often spawn with a berry bush or some other natural occurrence. This makes them easy to spot even if it's still night above ground and no light is falling down. Choose these well-lit areas for your camp and you can guarantee at least some light every now and then.
On rare occasions, these natural light shafts might spawn a little pond. While it might look cute at first glance, the Frogs that hop out of the murky cave pond will only cause you the hassle of beaﷺting them to a froggy pulp every few minutes. Best to find another spot.
5 🎶 Befriend The Bunnymen
Why is it that bunnies are, in some way, inherently terrifying? Stick a pair of legs and two muscular arms on a cute bunny head and you have an actual walking nightmare. We are talking about Don't Starves Bunnymen, one of the most common inhabitants♒ of the caves.
Bunnymen won't attack you at first glance. They'll even give you a mild sanity boost when you're nearby. As a r✃esult, you can farm the Bunnymen for resources, or knock down their carrot houses while they sleep to pillage their supplies of carrots. If your sanity drops too low...well, it's probably a good idea to stay away from the Bunnymen. As far away as you can.
4 Depths Worms Are Actually Very Useful ൲
Depths Worms replace the daily Hound assaults of life on the surface. These subterranean monsters ar🌳e actually one of the best reasons to ever venture into the caves in the first place. They attack regularly and drop much better loot than the Hounds.
Of course, there is plenty of monster meat to be had, but it's really the Glow Berries that make the Depth Worms such a prꦅofitable kill. You can find Glow Berries by ♎just wandering through the caves, but here come the worms, dropping this useful material right at your feet, day-in, day-out.
3 💝 Keep Your Sanity Up By Any Means Necessary 💯
Managing your sanity is a crucial part of surviving for more than a few days down in the caves. Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to stem off the mad dreams and shadow monsters. We mean, you could just play as Maxwell (the character with a positive rate of sanity gain) but it doesn't seem right to be stuck on one character. He also ranks a bit low on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best-to-worst characters.
Sleeping is one of the more straightforward ways to regain sanity, but the player has to make sure that there is plenty of food and light available. Time still passes when you sleep, which means hunger grows and fuel vanishes. Load up on some Pumpkin Cookies, if you have them avaܫilable, as they restore 15 Sanity each. Yummy.
2 Wha🐈t𝕴 To Look Out For
It's not immediately obvious why the caves are even a good place to visit in Don't Starve. This is why the whole "Survive in a cave for as long as you can𒆙" has become something of a challenge set by players, rather than a viable tactic for beating the game any quicker.
That being said, there are valuable resources dotted around, and Set Pieces (such as abandoned chests) can spawn down in the dark. If you want easy 💛access to Gold or Flint you should start smashing apart any Stalagmites you see. Those are the ones that come out of the ground, not hang from the ceiling.
1 Be Prepared ಌFor Earthquakes 🦂
Earthquakes can occur regularly as a player explores the caves underneath their world. These earthquakes cause various materials to drop from the ceiling, sometimes including 𒅌rare itℱems and gems. However, if something lands on your character's head...well, that's the end of that.
Watch out for the shadowy shapes you see on the screen while an earthquake rumbles away. Those shapes show y🌼ou where the items are going to fall, and where you sh💝ould avoid if possible.
