The trailer we saw introduced us to new locations, enemies, and a whole lot more ripping and tearing. It also looks like we'll be up against some massive new bo𒁃sses, but we still don't know much about the actual narrative. It's been revealed that the events of the DLC take place after those of the base game and there is an "imbalance in the heavens." Beyond that, not much is known. At any rate, the brief display should be more than enough to pique the interest of most fans.

Outside the DLC, Doom Eternal is 𝓰expected to receive a bunch of quality of life upgrades over the next few months. These include new Battle Mode maps, improvement to multiplayer latency, and new playable ღdemons. It'll also be optimized to run on next-gen hardware such as the PlayStation 5 and Series X. Better yet, those versions will be free for players who own the game on current consoles.

First released this March, Doom Eternal went on to become one of the best installments in the entire series. Critics around the globe praised the fast-paced action and innovative new weapons. Fans felt the same way, with the title pulling in over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam the day o⭕f its launch. It's gone on to sell over three million copies, and this latest expansion is sure to bring back old players who may have put the title down and moved on to other games.

Doom Eternal is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The first campaign expansion, The Ancient Gods, is slated▨ to hit shelves on October 20. All signs point to this being an excellent addition to the main story, and we're excited to see what hellish minions id Software throws at us next.
