Bethesda promised us horde mode, and horde mode they have delivered.𝐆 adds a ton of new content to every copy of the game, including the much ꦺanticipated arcade-style Horde Mode.
In Horde Mode, you start with three lives, a fully mastered combat shotgun, and all your equipment, perks, runes, Seಞntinel Crystal upgrades, and dash. Each Horde Mode mission begins with the Arena round, where you kill waves of demons, and then the Blitz round where you kill as many demons as you can within a time limit. Then the Bonus Coin round has you collect coins, the Traversal round has you collect more coins while doing a jumping puzzle, and finally, the Bonus Blitz round has you kill waves of super heavy demons while you scrounge around for Onslaught damage upgrades.
At the end of each round, your score is tallied based on the number of demons killed, h🌺ow many lives you have left, and your remaining BFG ammo. Bigger demons are worth more points, and you can supercharge your score by collecting coins and completing mission challenges. All scores get loaded to a global leaderboard so you can see h☂ow your slaying skills stack up.
There are loads of rewards to unlock in Horde Mode, including icons, nameplates, sk🍌ins, and m🍸ore.
There are even more rewards to unlock in the revamped Battlemode 2.0. Along with Horde Mode, Bethesda has upgraded Doom 💫Eternal’s signature asymmetrical multiplayer mode with a new streak-based matchmaking system that matches players based on their win streak. There’s also a brand new Demon Knight demon to contend with as well as the new Stronghold arena.
