The Doom series has taken us through some of the darkest pits of Hell and ha🐈s shown us some of the most terrifying monsters of all time.
Whether it be Earth, Mars, or even Hell itself,✃ Doom has brought us many grotesqu𒁃e and disturbing creatures to slaughter over the years. Demons, angels, and muted humans are all in the Doom grimoire for the player to encounter.
With a history as rich as Doom, there are dozens and dozens of monsters to encounter. Some of these creepy crawlies stand out much more than others and are likely to leave imprints in your dreams. Fear not though because, as Doomguy has consistently taught us, as long as you stay sufficiently angry, you can overcome literally any obstacle. Without further ado, let's rip and tear our way through this list.
10 Spiderdemon 🥃
The Spide🌞rdemon has reared its ugly head across many titles of the series. This cyb☂ernetic monstrosity is not only a horror to behold but to fight as well. The Spiderdemon is a massive, hulking mound of flesh squished into a mechanical chassis in the shape of a spider.
If this wasn't horrible enough, The Spiderdemon is basically a walking munitions fort. It has a Super Minigun that will fire at Doomguy from the front. Its metal chassis allows it to be immune to explosive damage, so this beast can only be taken down the old-fashioned way: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hot lead from a shotgun.
9 Mancubus
The Mancubus is... an upsetting organism to look at, to say the least. One look at this thing and you will think you are168澳洲幸运5开奖网: playing on Nightmare Mode, but nope, this is just a normal enemy!
Mancubus is a horrible splice of a gluttonous demon and the most powerful guns the demons had lying around. Seeing this b💯east, it is very obvious how much the demons fear Doomguy if they are willing to go to such lengths to try and combat him. Demons are mutilated and turned into living tanks in a futile attempt to even look in the same♓ direction of Doomguy before being Glory Killed.
8 Prowler
Prowlers take the visceral fear of being hunted and put it into practice. These nasty little creatures can teleport and cloak themselves, making them the💫 ultimate ambush enemy. They will try to sneak up to Doomguy and teleport behind him to deal massive dama🐓ge.
Prowlers can add a ton of anxiety to normal gameplay as it is very easy to lose track of them. When they are introduced with a hoard of enemies, it is really easy to lose sight of them. Thisꦕ mistake can be fatal, so it is strongly recommended to focus fire on these demons — if you can spot them, that is.
7 Cherub
First introduced iꦅn Doom 3, the Cherub is the first truly disturbing addition to the Doomiverse. Cherubs are infants that have been internally fused w♋ith insects to create a truly horrifying pawn for the demons of Hell.
Cherubs leap at Doomguy and attempt to overwhelm him with numbers. Though they are not particularly strong, the mere sight of a baby with no pupils and insect wings flying straight at their face would be enough to cause most people quite a panic. Cherubs were first introduced in Doom 3 and have not made an appearance since. Perhaps they were really so disturbing that the franchise didn't want to bring them back for a reappearance.
6 Pinky
Don't let the cute name fool you. These demons are notorious for dealing high damage to Doomguy. Not only that, but these walking tanks are perfectly able to take the amount of damage they dole out.
Pinkies are blindingly fast and will use this speed to their advantage. They will charge Doomguy and ram him, over and over, until either he or it is dead. Pinkies can really dive🥀rt focus from hordes of other demons, as their high damage output makes them a priority target any time they appear on the battlefield.
5 😼 Do෴om Hunter
Doom Hunters were engineered specifically to kill Doomguy. If yo꧙u have followed the Doom franchise in any capacity, you know that anything that can go toe to toe Doomguy is a force to be reckoned with. You also know, that if anything even believes꧟ it can stand up to Doomguy, it must have some otherworldly audacity.
There were three Doom Hunters created, and each is a behemoth c🎉ybernetic a💟bomination. This demon is perhaps the most well-armed of any other in the series. It has access to a chainsaw, a cannon, heavy machine guns, and can even fly.
4 Whiplash
The Whiplash is a demon that relies ♕on speed to engage Doomguy. It has two whips that it can crack at you, as well as blades if it is forced into close combat. Even at a distance, this demon has an answer, as it can shoot energy bea💎ms across the ground to pressure Doomguy.
What makes this demon heart pounding to fight is just how hard it is to hit. Its speedy movements, coupled with the fact that it can grapple onto walls, means that bullets only have a low cha𒀰nce of making contact with it.
3 ꧑ Blood Mayker
Maykers are the antithesis of demons in Doom lore, acting as angels for the universe. Two terrifying revelations were made to Doom fans in Doom Eternal. The first was that the Maykers are very much not on Doomguy's side, meaning that he is now pitted against both Heaven and Hell. The second is that these angelic beings are just as susceptible to becoming demons as humans are.
Blood Maykers are the fallen variants of the Mayker race. Once fallen, they became demons and mutated along with their once hated enemies. These powerful demons hurl their spears at🍸 Doomguy and have access to weak electrical attacks that can slow and harm you if touched.
2 The Maledict 🌱
Doom 3 brought some of the scariest demons to bat. Many of which we would like🉐 to see make a return🥀 in future titles. One enemy in particular🔴 that we could do with NEVER seeing again is The Maledict.
The Maledict is the demon mutation of a doctor that was present through the storyline named Dr. Betruger. Once mutated, he becomes this grotesque dragon and human bone hybrid that can spew fire. Nothing will make your stomach sink further than the first time you see Dr. Betruger's face extract itself from the throat of the Maledict to speak.
1 Icon of Sin 💎
The Icon of Sin made its debut as the final boss of Doom. It surprised many by showing up as the final boss of Doom Eternal as well. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:It's a nice homage to the original game. The Icon of Sin did not just get a reboot for nostalgia's sake, though.
This horrible beast appeared as a biomechanica🍒l head on a wall in the first Doom title. However, after killing it, it was hinted that there was a much larger body hidden somewhere out of sight. This was confirmed in Doom Eternal, when the monster made its appearance in full glory. Standing as tall as a skyscraper, this is by far the largest monster Doomguy has ever faced down with.
