168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Overwatch 2's story missions will kick off this August, with a new trailer teasing the Invasion missions. These will centre around an Omnic uprising and offer new ways to play select heroes.

This comes after the controversial cancellation of Overwatch 2's planned PvE story mode, only leaving these mission-based, seasonal events to cover the long-awaited additions to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Overwatch's lore. However, one of these missions is described as co-op, leading fans to believe that PvE will exist in some capacity, even if it's not what was originally promised.

Given the backlash to the PvE news, Blizzard was clearly eager to show off all of the new ways to play that will be introduced in🐼 these missions. From Flashpoints to Hero Mastery, there will be new things to do with the Overwatch roster, although it remains to be seen exactly what these modes will entail, and how much they will separate themselves from the 🌼existing game.

One thing is clear, we're finally diving into some human vs. Omnic conflicts. Aside from the odd event in the first Overwatch and some pre-fight banter, we've never really explored this huge part of the game's lore.

What is less clear, however, is whether or not PvE is back on the table. In a that has gone live since the initial reveal, we're told that there will be a "bonus co-op mission on Kings Row", alongside PvP story missions. The term "PvE" is never used, but co-op could suggest that players will be working together to defeat NPCs. Blizzard is yet to describe this as PvE, so we'll have to wait and see what these actually end up looking like.

Something we have more details on now though is this new Flashpoint mode. This will appear in Qu๊ick Play and Competitive alongside Push, Hybrid, Escort, and Control. Taking place on two new maps - the biggest yet, according to the blog post - Flashpoint will see players either attack or defend certain points, with a new Flashpoint appearing as soon as one has been claimed. Attackers will have to claim three Flashpoints, and from the description, it seems that it will be similar to the recent Starwatch event. The Flashpoints here could vary, maki🥃ng it a little harder for both the attackers and the defenders.

Other than that, the Invasion update will bring smaller features. Hero Mastery will give us assault courses personalised to each character, and the training area is getting a much-needed makeover. At the very end of the trailer, a new Hero is teased, but we didn't get a great look at them. The blog post confirms that they'll be in Support at least, beefing up the smallest category.
