Dr Disrespect continues to expand his presence beyond Twitch by locking down a book deal with Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The working title for the project is currently Violence. Speed. Momentum., a memoir by Dr Disrespect.
Yep, you read that right – the intense, mustached gaming personality is working on his very own memoir. Not only that, but the project will be released simultaneously in text and audiobook formats; Dr Disrespect will be narrating the audiobook himself, of course. His book is described by the publisher as an account on "what it's like being the greatest gamer in the🐼 history of the universe, and possibly the world’s best overall human being."
As demonstrated in the above Twitter post, the streamer is known to exaggerate his accomplishments; Undoubtedly, the text will reflect the same energy. The memoir will be written by the Dr Disrespect character in a comedic style, similar to that of Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings by Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell's character from the 2004 comedy film Anchorman).
The announcement follows a cryptic tweet that the streamer publꩲished around a w𒆙eek ago, the book deal serving as a likely explanation as to what he was busy doing.
The news also serves as a continuation of Dr Disrespect's hot streak of extra-Twitch ambition. In December, it was revealed that he 🍰has🦹 teamed up with Skybound Entertainment (the creators behind The Walking Dead) for his own animated TV series. Additionally, in the same month, he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to comically promote his Turtle Beach sponsor.
In the streaming world, it seems that both Dr Disrespect and Ninja are head and shoulders ahead of their colleagues when it comes to their brands' reach. Similar to Dr Disrespect, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ninja has his hands in book deals, TV appearances, and much more – bringing gaming and streaming into mainstrea🧜m culture. Whether or not this is good or bad in the long-term remains up for debate, but one thing is for sure – opportunities in the industry are🌳 flourishing.
Keep a lookout for Dr Disrespect's memoir in about a year; Violence. Speed. Momentum. is set to launch during Spring of 2021.
