168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic the Gathering has been doing a lot of crossovers recently, but the latest one is by🐟 far the most literary𒐪 to date.
The Vampiric-themed Innistrad: Crimson Vow will be receiving a number of cards directly based on characters and settings from Bram Stoker's Dracula, the novel that really kicked off the our idea of the vampire as we know it. These cards won't be based on any particular movie or adaptation, and instead take directly from the 1897 novel.
Revealed on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Crimson Vow stream, a number of cards from the set will be receiving art that transforms them into the likes of Mina Harker, Abraham Van Helsing, the Sisters of the Undead, and the big man himself, Counter Dracula. These cards are mechanically identical to their Magic-universe equivalents, and even mention the card they're based on by name to prevent you from running more than four of any printing of them in the same deck.
While more cards are bound to be confirmed over spoiler season, so far we've seen Castle Dracula (Voldaren Estate), Count Dracula (Sorin the Mirthless, which is getting another version with art by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania's Ayami Kojima), Mina Harker (Thalia, Guardian of Thraben), Sisters of the Undead (Olivia, Crimson Bride), Dracula,♐ Lord Of Blood (Voldaren Bloodcaster), and Abraham Van Helsing (Savior of Ollenbach).
Each of these cards will be available as a boxtopper, a special card often included with Draft, Set or Collector's Booster boxes. They'll also be available in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Collector's Booster packs, for those who can afford a pricy booster but not an entire box. There will also0 be a buy-a-box promo to encourage players to bu♉y from their local game store, with partnered game stores giving away Castle Dracula (Voldaren Estate), a new land from Crimson Vow.
The way these cards are working is identical to how Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths did its tie-in with the Godzilla universe, where cards from the set have alternate art but are still treated as the same game piece. It's also likely how we're going to see the Walking Dead and Stranger Things Secret Lairs work, when they go in the opposite direction and get in-Magic Universe cards later next year.
