In a case of choosing the best possible name for a place, the Blackmarsh is a marsh that's also very dark, filled with lots of dead things. In fact, the brightest thing there is probab♊ly the Queen of the Blackmarsh, a spectral 🦋dragon that wants to kill you. The most chaotic light source since that Pixar lamp.

5 Chateau d'Onterre

The Waltzing Dead

At first glancꩵe, Chateau d'Onterre might seem downright pleasant. It's a bougie mansion in the middle of a sacred elven land, so aside from the colonialism, not so bad, right? Well, when🔴 you find this place in Dragon Age: Inquisition's Emerald Graves, you'll quickly see the problem.

The problem is zombies. There are so many zombies. But the cause is even more haunting and heartbreaking. The lord of the manor tried to suppress his daughter's budding magical abilities and locked her up, leading to her eventual possession by a 🐬demon which ultimately killed everyone there.

As If Alienage Life Wasn't Hard Enough

Whether actually cursed or not, death has been around the mine ever since, up to and including attracting a whole High Dragon.

"First Day, They Come And Catch Everyone..."
