Despite their status as warring factions, here are reasons to help both the Templarꦅs vs. the Mages in Bioware's epic RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Whether you are trying to understand what's going on in Dragon Age: Inquisition or you simply want to know a bit more about the lore behind the series, this article will detail every focal faith in the lore and what they stand for.
Andrastrianism - Humans
This is the faith with the largest following and most power in Thedas. The Chantry is who created the known and used calendar of the times and its faith is widely practiced by humans only. In this faith, The Maker is their God and Andraste is the people's prophet.
Andraste
Andraste was a real person who was said to have dreams sent down to her from The Maker. She and her husband would spread the wo🤡rd of The Maker until her husband betrayed her and had her killed. After her death, the faith of The Maker grew with Andraste as the catalyst, and this is when Chantries were widely formed.
The Maker has spoken to no one but Andraste. Andraste is said to be The Maker's spiritual wife, and she would sing songs about him. These songs would be formed into a "bible" called Chant of Light.
Values
The Andrastrian faith can be aggressive. They believe that magic is corruption and evil that must be controlled. This𝓀 is where you see mages as slaves come to play in history.
They also believe that The Maker will not return unless other races have joined the Andrastrian faith, such as the Dalish and Qunari. Because of this, they created the Exalted Marches, which reigned war against non-believers. After Andraste's death, the Imperial Chantry declared that you either convert to their religion or you would be killed.
Because Andraste is the Chantry's prophet, women are seen as pure, and only they can lead the faith. Men are seen as lesser and can only have smaller roles within a Chantry. "Priests" are otherwise 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:known as "Divines" who can only be women.
The Chantry believes that humankind brought upon darkspawn and all other evil themselves because they sinned by bei💛ng prideful.
Who Are The Old Gods?
Before The Chant of Light and Andrastrianism became a thing, people worshiped seven dragon deities. These are known as The Old Gods. When the Blight started🍎 and darkspawn began ravaging th🗹e realm, people began to blame their dragon gods for such evil.
People believed that Archdemons were physical embodiments of their dragon lords. When the Chantry started growing, Andrastrian followers convinced others that the Old Gods were evil spirits that went ag💝ainst The Maker.

Elven Gods

- Dirthamen - God of secrets
- Sylaise - Hearthkeeper (music and art)
- Andruil - Goddess of hunting
- Falon'Din - Guide for the dead
- Ghilan'nain - Goddess of navigation
- June - God of crafting
- Fen'Harel - Trickster god
All these gods keep the world running for elves. When people die, Falon'Din guides them to the Veil and befriends the dead. Andruil teaches elves how to respect animals.
The Forgotten Ones
An important part of Elven history is the Forgotten Ones. If you read what each god and goddess represents above, you will notice that one is not like the others. Fen'Harel, the trickster God, is the middleman. He walks with the Elven Pantheon but is also friendly with the Forgotten Ones.
The mother and father of Elven faith would go to war against these evil gods who represent things such as terror and malice. It is believed that Fen'Harel tricked both the Elven Pantheon and the Forgotten Ones into a fake truce where he would end up locking both away forever. It is said Fen'Harel locked away all the gods so that he could have Elvhenan for himself and went mad.
Fen'Harel is also known as the Dreadwolf.

Dragon 🗹Ag🌄e: The Archdemons And The Blights, Explained
Ever wondered what the deal is with ꦯthe Blights and Aechdemons in the Dragon Age series? Here's what you need to⛄ know.
The Qun - Qunari
This is a very strict faith that does not believe in any gods or religion. The Qun is moreso a set of rules 𒁃you must abide by in life, or you may face violent consequences. There is no in෴dividuality🐟 within the Qun. Society is seen as one structure that works in unison.
Family And Societal Roles
Pregnancy and birth are controlled and dict🌌ated by a group of people called the Tamassrans. These are priestesses. They decide who produces children and what happens to those children. Once a Qunari gives birth, the mother and father leave and have no obligation to the child. The child is raised by the Tamassrans and other people.
The Tamassrans assign societal roles to these children that they must conform to for the r🥂est of their lives, such as becoming a warrior or healer.
Whജen the Qunari capture prisoners and those of different race or faith, they feed them an൲d send them to labor camps until they convert to the Qun.
The Stone - Dwarves
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Because dwarves don't dream, they aren't considered one of The Maker's children, since The Maker is said to have created the Fade where dreaming takes place. The closest thing dwarves have to a faith is believing in the protection and sacredness of the Stone.
They do not believe in a god, just in protecting and respecting their life within stone. This is taken quite literally, as dwarves live underground, under rock, all their lives. If 🐈there is ever a dwarf who does not lꦓive underground, they are seen as shameful and rejected.
Similarly to how the Dalish would respect nature and become one with it, the dwarves respect stone and become one with it. They claim to "return to the stone" when they die and refer to themselves as the "stone's children."
Dwarves also highly respect Paragons. Paragons are considered highly acclaimed and esteemed individuals who have done a lot for the community, such as being an🦩 amazing warrior or blacksmith.
