Intelligence in general is a very difficult method of rank. There are different kinds of intelligence from emotional to logical to cr🍌eative.

There are a ton of Dragon Age characters who are quite varied in their talents. They all have something to offer in terms of intelligence, but who is the best of the best? Who has the most to offer? Here is what we think and why from the l🍃east smart to the most. Obviously, there are spoilers ahead, so proceed🥂 with caution.

10 Sera

Some fans despise Sera because she is not smart in a lot of topics. However, if you listen closely to her, she may really surprise you in what she does understand and know. Even smarter characters like Solas have gotten surprised by her sudden bursts of wisdom. For example, she points out to him that the reason the Red Jennys do not overthrow to the top of the totem po🐷le of power is that that just create a new top.

Her intelligence is in her intuition. She even notices something is wrong in Trespasser before anyone el🌞se because she is so receptive to how the lower class behaves.

9 Varric

Varric would not call himself smart. However, he really understands people. That is part of what makes him such a great writer. He can predict motivations and outcomes because he is incredibly receptive to societal patterns. He can charm people. He even got away with lying to Cassandra and the world about Hawke's whereabouts.

Like Sera, he has also given smarter characters a run for their money. In his banters with Solas, he actually pr𒈔oves a higher understanding of others.

8 Bianca

Not the crossbow, the woma﷽n. Bianca is a minor character, but proves herself to be an amazing inventor and engineer.

These are 🤡very specific kinds of intelligence that it seems unfair to compare her to Varric or Sera, but Bianca certainly deserves to be on this list. So far, we only kn꧒ow little about her inventions. Maybe we will see more in the future.

7 The Iron Bull 🧸

Fans never really knew how intelligent Bull was until Trespasser. When you first meet him, he reveals that he is a spy for the Qunari so it was easy to write that all off as non-threateninꦦg.

However, it turns out he could be even more talented at lying than Solas depending on your choices. If you sacrifice the Chargers, he digs deeply into his role as a spy without your knowledge. He can even manipulate you to take him so that he can try to kill you in Trespasser. Also, he can play mind-chess with Solas. That's crazy.

6 Vivienne

Vivienne is a master of the Game, which takes a lot of self-control, manipulation, and social intelligence. She is like an opposite to Sera. She may be ignorant of the lower 🐠classes, but she is intuitive about the upper. In order to maintain her image, she has to be smart. She constantly needs to know what everyone else is doing and to read the room.

While some🎉 fans may dislike her for her calculating ambition, she certainly proves that she꧟ knows how to preserve and expand relations and power.

5 Morrigan

Morrigan has an interesting level of intelligence. Despite being raised in the wilds, she grasps new ideas very quickly. She proved that she can adapt to anything, as she was once a Witch of the Wilds and then becam⭕e a court mage to Empress Celene. She knows how to stay hidden in a crowd, despite probably being the most interesting person in a room.

She may like to think she is the most intelligent Dragon Age c⭕haracter, but fans can agree that 🍸she still has a lot to learn.

4 ꦦ ꦯ Brother Genitivi

Brother Genitivi is not as fancy as a lot of the other characters, but he has written basically every important book 𒅌in Thedas. If you read the Codex entries you collect throughout the games, you find that most of what you are reading was written by this man.

He is not a companion and you only meet him in Origins for a brief t✤ime. Heꦇ may not even survive depending on your choices! However, it is plain that this man knows a ton about the world.

3 Dagna

Like Genitivi, Dagna is no companion. She is a minor character in Origins and possibly Inquisition depending on your choices. She is pretty amazing, as she is a dwarf who studies magic. Dwarves don't use magic, they are incapable of doing so.

She is a prodigy among blacksmiths. If you see a magical item and give it to her, she will give you results in terms of what it is and what you can do with it. Even if she finds out she does not💯 have an answer, she will do everything in her power to find one.

2 Solas

Solas is incredibly smart, but that is mostly because he is thousands of years old. His intelligence is🐽 high on a lot of fronts. His knowledge of the Fade is especially crazy, and the fact that he created🍸 it is even crazier.

He is capable of holdin𓆏g a long-term strategy in his head while adapting part of the plan to new variables incredibly quickly. He was dealt a huge curve-ball by Corpheus surviving the blast but still turned that into a win scenario for himself, all while pretending to be much less intelligent and competent than𝓡 he actually was.

1 Flemeth

Yes, we all saw Solas take away Flemeth's life force. So why is she still the smartest? Well, it seems like she is always ahead of the game. She let Solas take her life. We feel confident that she is not gone. We also thought she was dead after the Warden could kill her in Origins. She appeared to have planned for that ahead of time by having Hawke basically revive her.

From the books to the games, she is the one who appears to be in contꦆrol. Even Morrigan, her own daughter, 🃏can not comprehend Flemeth.
