Northern Thedas is a Different Beast
The only choices you'll be able to select in th💎e character creator are: who your 🧜Inquisitor romanced, whether or not you disbanded the Inquisition, and whether the Inquisitor told Solas they were going to stop or save him.
The Veilguard's creative director Joꦜhn Epler explains that since The Veilguard is set in Nꦅorthern Thedas, this has given BioWare the freedom to start with essentially a "clean slate" without directly contradicting the hundreds of choices made by players across the series.
"There's not as many decisions you have made up to this point that have an impact on what's happening in Northern Thedas. And we don't speak directly to thin🤪gꩲs like who is the Divine? Because again, that's happening in the South," Epler said.
The solution for BioWare🙈 to avoid contradictions is to just not address certain topics. It's a delicate balance because the narrative permutations have multiplied with every subsequent release in the series, creating a lot of☂ extra work for developers should they decide to keep creating unique content for every possible scenario.
Though Epler stresses in the interview that this isn't any different from certain topics not being addressed between Origins and 2, and then both to Inquisition, you can understand why the commun༺ity might be saddened to find that they can't import any of their options.
It was alwaysꩵ going to be an impossible balancing act for BioWare to keep using Dragon Age Keep, but this news is going to come as a disappointment to people in the community who were looking forward to seeing a decade's worth o𒈔f decision-making come to life.
