BioWare finally gave us a new look at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Age: The Veilguard last night with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a CGI trailer ahead of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:tomorrow's gameplay reveal. But fans aren't completely sold on the sequel, with the trailer reaching a staggering 120,000 dislikes (according to the YouTube extension) as many decry its tone and aesthetic.

"If I didn't know it was Dragon Age I would've thought it's something like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Overwatch or Fortnite," one fan wrote on , garnering over 4,000 upvotes. "I'm gonna wait for the gameplay reveal until I make up my mind but I'm extremely disappointed".

It seemed a little cheesy for sure. To an outsider⛦, iꦫt seems super generic, to a fan, it looks like everything stagnated after the end of DAI.

"It's focusing on light-hearted comedy for a game that's set up to be about an apocalyptic end to the world," another Reddit user commented. "The end of Inquisition had a few core members of that organisation talking sadly about what would have to be done to stop Solas [...] Then the trailer for the sequel comes out and it's, 'Oh hey look, we're being funny with a brightly coloured art style".

Dragon Age Fans Aren't Happy With All The Quipping

One of the big complaints with the trailer is the quippy dialogue, which🔯 immediately drew c🔯omparisons to the MCU and its Joss Whedon brand of humour.

"I am so fu--ing tired of that dialogue style throughout fiction," one fan commented. "It was nice watching Dune to have a sci-fi fantasy blockbuster that WASN'T a god damned quip fest. The Marvel style is extremely played out".

It's giving 'B-tier Marvel movie that won't stop quipping' vibes.

"Dragon Age has always had its quips, banter, and funny moments, but it always felt well-placed and appropriate, as an aside to a setting that's been a bit grimdark and overall has taken itself relatively seriously," another said. "This gives off completely opposite vibes."

"The tone 🥃is so jarring and over the top goofy," one fan add𒅌ed. "Feels like some shi--y Netflix/Marvel movie vibe".

Perhaps tomorrow's in-game footage will sway the community, but right now, one look at Twitter, the subreddit, and the trailer itself, and you'll see a torrent of backlash taking hold.
