Summary

  • Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has some unique pre-match interactions depending on your team.
  • Some of these interactions even poke fun at how many variants of Goku there are on the roster.
  • My favourite of the bunch has Goten surrounded by Gokus and pointing out that he probably shouldn't be there.

has lots of unique pre-match banter if you put specific characters on your team, i🌃ncluding some that poke fun at how many Goku variants are on the ros♏ter.

Ever since Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was first 🦩revealed, there's been one big joke made about it - . While Budokai Tenkaichi veterans a𒐪re more than used to that and actively want as many forms and eras as possible, it does look a bit funny that there are more than 20 playable Gokus at launch, and 🐽likely more to 🔯come.

💟Even if you’ve played the original Budokai Tenkaichi games, you aren’t prepared for how tough Sparking Zero’s story mode is.

It seems that Sparking Zero is very aware ofღ this, though, and is even in on the joke with the rest of us. One unique featu🐬re that players have discovered since the game launched in early access is that , including a few making fun of the tidal wave of "Hey it's me, Goku!".

Sparking Zero Knows It's Got A Lot Of Goku Variants

Over the past week,🐷 Dragon B༺all fans have been sharing some of these great interactions on social media, . While most of the interactions are just references to teams that have worked together in the show, a few of them are a bit more fourth-wall-breaking.

One interaction takes place if you have a team full of Goku variants, specifically the younger looking ones like GT and Teen. Daima Goku will ask why there are so many different "little m𝓰e's" while GT Goku will suggest the Dragon Balls have been used to make everyo🔯ne small. Teen Goku will then say it's just Puar and Oolong playing a trick on him to make so many variants appear at once.

My absolute favourite of the bunch is if you add Goten toಞ that team of Goku's, . What a self-actualised cutie.

Another Goku-ribbing interaction happe🧸ns if you make up a team of Bardock, Turles, Goku Black, and🐻 the original Goku himself. Goku will ask why there are so many versions of him around, while Bardock points out that fathers and sons usually look alike. Turles wants nothing to do with "any of you idiots", while Goku Black seems to think he's in good company with so many of him around.

There are tons of these unique interactions within Sparking Zero and they're all a really nice bit of fan-service, but it's especially interesting to see Spike Chunsoft achknowledge how many variants of Goku there 🌳are in Dragon Ball as a whole and specifically in Sparking Zero.
