Possibly the most difficult of those challenges is the second arena tournament in Endor Colosseum, which you must beat to access new pastures and new monsters.

DQM: The Dark Prince gives🎃 you an easy first arena to clear, but you'll still need to think about teambuilding to win.

While a bit of level grinding is the solution to most of the enemies you'll find in this battle gauntlet, the third and final battle is nothing to be sniffed at and may force you to think harder about team composition and where you spend your skill points.

Endor Colosseum F Rank Overview

Fighting in the Endor Colosseum F Rank in Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince

Entry Fee: 50 Gold Coins

As ever, you'll have to overcome three consecutive battles to call yourself the champion of F Rank.

Battle

Monsters

First Battle

Buddy Slime

Great Sabrecub

Damselfly

Bunicorn

Second Battle

Walking Corpse

Bodkin Archer

Mudraker

Hellbound Horror

Third Battle

Bag o' Laughs

Flython

Jailcat

The monsters you'll face here are quite a lot stronger than those fought in the previous category, which means you'll need to think harder about team composition.

The first two fights have some hard hitters, and since you can't order your monsters to focus on them exclusively, you'll need to prepare for them with a dedicated healer and possibly a debuffer. We'll go over potential candidates for those roles when we get to the strategy.

The third battle is the main threat to your success here. The Bag o' Laughs hits hard, the Jailcat is very tanky, and the Flython is an absolute menace. This will be the first time you're up against a Large monster - they take up more spaces, sure, but they can act multiple times per turn and their attacks hit harder. The Flython is the biggest threat and likely what you'll build your team around beating.

How To Beat Endor Colosseum F Rank

A Flython flanked by a Bag o Laughs and a Cat monster in Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince

To beat this arena, you'll need to come up with a team that can take on the Flython but isn't so specialised against the Flython that it cannot cope with the first two fights.

The Flython uses Poison Breath (which can inflict Poison on the entire party) and Fire Breath (which deals heavy fire damage to your entire party). To deal with these, you'll want a team that largely resists fire (or at least isn't weak to it) and a monster that can use Squelch, which heals the entire party of Poison.

The following monsters are very good options:

Monster

Reasoning

Capsichum

Is not weak to fire and can cast Squelch. The alternative Squelch caster is Stump Chump, which 🍸is weak to fire.

Vegandragora

Is strong against fire and has Sizz, which will deal a ton of d💯amage to the monsters in the seco🥂nd battle. Dazzleflash can also come in clutch.

Antguzzler

Is strong against fire and can potentially reduce a strong enemy's defence with Helm Splitter.

Bunicorn

Is very strong against fire and can be a surprisingly good attacker. May be able🔯 to stun enemies with Heart Breaker.

Slime

Is not weak to fire. Potentially a fast healer in a♏ pinch tꦛhanks to access to Heal and high agility.

Dragonthorn

Is very strong against fire and can cast Woosh, which will help in all battles thanks to targeting 🃏an entire party.

Using Sizz on the arena Flython in Endor Colosseum in Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince

Our winning party consisted of a Cruelcumber (our starter) and Dragonthorn as attackers, a Capsichum on healing duty, and a Vegandragora set to weaken enemies.

The damage from poison will rack up very quickly, especially if it hits multiple monsters. For that reason, grabbing a Capsichum is highly recommended above all other monsters on the list above - being able to remove poison is just that important. Other than the Capsichum, a mixture of any three of the others should have a good chance at winning the category, though you should strongly consider Vegandragora for that powerful Sizz spell.

Make sure you're setting your Tactics up right! Capsichum and other healers should be set to Focus on Healing while debuffers like a Vegandragora with Dazzleflash or Bunicorn with Sandstorm should be set to Weaken the Enemy.

Being at around level seven will further increase your odds - th🦄e increases fr𓆉om individual level ups may seem small but they are significant when dealing with such low-level monsters.

Future Large monsters will reward using strong single-target attacks, bu🎃t you can get by with mostly group-wide attacks at this point in the game.
