Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince - Endor Colosseum Category G Gu🔥ide
DQM: The Dark Prince gives you an easy first arena to clear, but you'll still need to think abou🌳t teambuilding to win.
The first of these, naturally, is Category G - while this shares the same name as the first category in Endor, it's not easier. This is a whole new level of difficulty. You'll want to beat it quickly, though, as this is the final hurdle to surpass before unlocking Synthesis!
Maulosseum G Rank Overview
Entry Fee: 10 Gold Coins
As with Endor's Colosseum, the Maulosseum tournaments consist of three consecutive fights. While the monsters here are overall tougher than those in the previous arena battles, th⛎ere are no scary Large monsters to face. This🦂 category is all about building a strong team.

There are some tough cookies here - Snail Slime is an incredible defensive monster with support skills, Skullrider and Guaardvark have high attack and can make the second battle tough if they focus their attacks on one of your monsters, and the final battle is filled with high-health monsters who can deal a lot of damage.
How To Beat Maulosseum G Rank
With no truly threatening standouts to face, the only thing you need to do to conquer this category is spend some time levelling up in the Circle of Conquest and potentially scout some new monsters. This new area is 🍒home to some really great pi🍒cks:
Monster |
Season |
Description |
---|---|---|
Bubble Slime |
Summer |
Functionally identical to a regular Slime, but can po⛄ison enemies on contact damage and will have slightly higher stats. Makes a good replacement. |
Leery Lout |
Spring |
Amazing defence and can still pack a ꦦwallop. Buff, Heal, and Attack Attacker are all great skills to have - this is the best healer you can get before Synthesis. |
Lunatick |
Autumn |
Can pump out very high-damage Crack spells. Less useful against the generally ice-resistant first battle but you can just set it to not use MP un﷽ti꧑l the second battle. |
Skeleton |
All except Summer |
An all-rounder with good attack and defence. |
Until you beat this category, you will have an impaired ability to scout monsters in the Circle of Conquest. This doesn't make it impossible, though - getting a few new monsters should only take a few tries, especially if you use meat.
To succeed, you'll want a balanced party of monsters around level ten.
- A dedicated healer is useful to have - a Leery Lout makes for a fantastic healer at this point, but its high defence might make it very frustrating to acquire. In that case, Bubble Slimes, Slimes, Capsichums or Stump Chumps will work.
- As for attackers, you have some great options both here and from Terrestria. Monsters that can learn party-wide attacks are great, such as Vegandragora (Sizz) and Lunatick (Cool Breath).
- Since the enemies here are on the generic side, you can forgo trying to field a dedicated buffer or debuffer.
With these, your strategy will be to get rid of as many monsters as possible before they manage to take out any of yours - arena battles tend to exhibit a snowball effect, losing monsters early in a fight is a recipe for disaster. This is why party-wide spells are so important - single-target attacks have a tendency to get spread aꦐround too much, giving the enemy par🍒ty chance to retaliate.
