The Good Ending

The Good Ending happens, much like in the first game, after you kill the Dragon and reclaim your heart. However, you don’t go meet the Seneschal like last time. Instead💙, you are immediately crowned Sovran at a rather fancy party, and even the Pathfinder is invited.

The main difference with the Bad Ending is that this isn’t a cutscene; you can walk around the throne room and sit down on your throne, waiting out the credits as they roll. If games have taught us anything, it is that this means that there is more to this than just some interactive end credits, but more on that with the True Ending.

Where Is The Seneschal?

Since both games in the series are so similar, it seems odd that there isn’t a fight with the Seneschal or that the character isn’t even mentioned in the game. Except you have already met the Seneschal during your travels, and it isn’t the Pathfinder.

Yet you are never instructed to fight him, and as far as you can tell, the last few Arisen haven't fought Rothais either. This change in the cycle points towards the real point of its existence: to make a story happen with mighty heroes and fearsome monsters.

This is, at least according to Rothais, orchestrated by the Pathfinder, who used to send old Arisen to fight the Mad Sovran. It’s likely that the Pathfinder grew tired of sending Arisen to their meaningless deaths, so he changed the reward for killing the Dragon from being Seneschal to being Sovran and simply left Rothais alone to rot.

The True Ending

As expected, there is more you can do in the throne room beyond sitting on the titular throne. You can interact with the Pathfinder, who can send you back in time to “reaffirm your choice,” fighting the Dragon once more, but this time you&rsquo꧃;re after a different outcome.

By this point, you have already gained the Godsbane from Rothais, which you can use to stab yourself and the Dragon as you’re both flying over the sea. This leads to both of you crashing down into the water, and as you’re about to be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:consumed by the Brine, the Pathfinder saves you.

It isn’t known if this Dragon is also a fallen Arisen or a complete fabrication 🐼by the Pathfinder.

Dragonsplague is the biggest mystery in the game since there isn’t a known common denominator that makes a pawn infected. If this makes the Pawns related to the Dragon, it might suggest that the Pathfinder is using Pawns to create the Dragon instead of the fallen Arisen.

Why Is Killing The Dragon In The True Ending Different From The Good Ending?

The Pathfinder is constantly talking about the Greater Will, a force that dictates the universe and everything within it. While it sounds like some form of god, it is actually more like an energy that can be used by people, letting them do all sorts of miracles.

The Will of the Pathfinder is strong, but the Arisen can beat it by showing an even stronger Will. That means that the final fight against the Dragon (which is closer to a cutscene than a fight) isn’t so much about the physical confrontation but about the Will to change things for the better.

The Give Up Ending

When you die in the Unmoored World, you’re given a choice to try again or simply give up. This likely means game over, so not all players would have chosen to give up, but doing so opens the way for a completely different ending, albeit a far shorter one.
