Once Ambrosius hands over the Godsway to you, you'll receive a prompt letting y🌳ou know the quest has begun.

However, to get the events moving, you must head to the Spellseal Door at the southern end of the Flamebearer Palace.

As you approach the door, a cutscene will show Phaesus using his Godsway to open the Spellseal Door.

Approach the doo꧒r yourself and use t♏he you received from Ambrosius to unlock the door.

Progress through the door to properly begin The Guardian Gigantus.

How To Finish The Guardian Gigantus

Running along the islands during The Guardian Gigantus in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Head forward until you trigger the cutscene where Talos is making its way through the water on a path to the Moonglint Tower.

Head straight along the verdant islands ahead of you to keep up with Talos.

If you trigger the cutscene, the sequence with Talos will remain on a timer, so you could miss it if you run away.

Keep to the path and rush to the Moonswax Bridge, then down the stone stairs on the left to another portion of the island.

As you approach the next bridge, another cutscene with Phaesus and Raghnall will play and Talos will throw a spear at the bridge ahead of you, knocking it out of commission.

Raghnall is now working with Phaesus. If you've encountered him before, your final confrontation is fast approaching.

You need an alternate route into the Volcanic Island to follow Talos.

Cross Onto The Volcanic Island

After Talos throws the spear, look over to the right to see a path of small islands jutting out of the water, perfectly forming a route to the mainland of the Volcanic Island.

Progress onto the island and up the mountainside, keeping Talos in view the entire time.

As you reach the end of the path, you'll come out onto a clearing with a beach, where Talos will be heading.

Prepare to take down the Guardian Gigantus.

Talos, The Guardian Gigantus, Reaching The Beach In Dragon's Dogma 2.

The fight against Talos won't be a matter of hurling e♐ndless amounts of damage at it.

Instead, you must target all six stakes on Talos' body to damage it and eventually defe🦂at this behemoth.

The stakes are impaled in these locations:

  1. Right Eye
  2. Left Thigh
  3. Right Shoulder
  4. Right Ankle
  5. Right Hand
  6. Back

You must find points along the path where you can jump onto Talos' body and climb over to one of the stakes.

The first bridge on the path is a great spot to take out a few stakes in one jump🐻.

Land on the head 😼and take out the stakes on the eye, shoulder, and back to get a solid start.

Alternatively, you will have opportunities to draw Talos' attention and get it to swing at you, so you can jump onto it.

When you destroy a stake, look for it on the ground, as you can loot one from each broken stake.

The stakes can also be looted later once the fight is over.

Continue following Talos along the path, taking out as ♛many stakes as you can.

Once you see Talos approach a small bridge, you know you're getting to the last section of the battle.

The battle is on a set ꦛpath, so there's no need to rush, as you cannot destroy every stake until you have gotten close enough to the final stretch.

A ballista shot will send Talos crashing down into the small bridge, damaging it, and causing it to lose an arm.

Use a ballista on either side of the path to pick off any remaining stakes you did not destroy earlier.

As Talos approaches a final wooden bridge, it will fall, defeated once all its stakes have been destroyed.
