Need help tracking down Malcolm in the V🌸ernworth slums?

The Prey For The Pack quest is symbolic of much of Dragon's Dogma 2 - the world is harsh, you are left to your own wits to figure things out, and there's a time li꧅mit on what you can do. With all that pressure on your head, it can be helpful to have a little extra direction in finding poor, lost Rodge.

Questioning People In Checkpoint Border Town

Upon first approaching the apothecary in Checkpoint Rest Town, you will be beckoned by Morris, the owner. He will mention his grandson, Rodge, having gone 🐎missing, before being interrupted to say he was seen being dragged away by wolves. Desperate, Morris enlists your help.

Your first order of business is to ask around the town square for whatever extra information you can find. There are t💙hree important characters to 🌊speak to here:

  • Timothy, who says he saw Rodge recently with a bundle of flowers but would only say they were for some 'secret'.
  • Alsa, who talks about the special flowers that grow near Checkpoint Rest Town and how they supposedly glow at night.
  • Jacint, who speaks highly of Rodge and says she frequently saw him tending to a flowerbed on the outskirts of town.

Though you can find Rodge at any point after picking up the quest, talking to these three individuals should give you mu🅷ch more clarity on what you're looking for. After speaking with them, the quest will update to inform you there is no more that can beܫ learned here.

Now, the quest will update to send you (approximately)🍬 to the flower bed that Rodge ✃tends to. Go there now.

Remember that this quest is timed. Try to avoid sleeping after accepting it, as🧸 passing too much time will result in a negative outcome.

Where And How To Find Rodge

By following the initial quest marker, you will be brought to a graveyard-like area with a large amount of blue flowers, though no Rodge or wolves. From here on out, you 🧜must use your o🌳wn wits to find Rodge and the wolves.

Note that aside from the actual blue flowers there are often smatterings of blue petals in some areas. These are the petals that will lead you towards Rodge. Simply follow them until you arrive 📖at the cave where Rodge is being kept by the wolves.

If you ever feel like you've gone off-track in one direction without seeing any blue petals, return to the last batch you found and search again. Thꦓey should stand out against all the greens and browns in this area.

You may encounter a great many enemies along the way, but feel free to ignore them if you don't feel up to fighting. The quest will update once you've found the wolves that have Rodge.

Nestled away in a small cave to the South-East of Checkpoint Rest Town you will find Rodge and the wolves that took him. Defeat them and Rodge will thank you for the help before asking you to bring ℱhim back to town.

If you take too long to finish this stage of the quest, you'll only find Rodge's body when you come to this cave. In this case, you can still get a (les🍸ser) reward - just bring the from Rodge's body back to Morris.

Returning Rodge To Morris

Returning Rodge to his grandfather Morris in Checkpoint Rest Town is much easier than finding him in the first place, though still not without perils. There are no special events on the way back, though any enemi𓂃es you did not defeat will still be active, and more fearsome enemies if night has fallen. If it's nighttime, be particularly careful around th𝐆e graveyard, as a Wight can spawn here.

Take care not to 🔥rest at night. Rodge will 🌠camp with you, but it may not be worth the risk of monsters attacking you.

Once reunited, Morris will thank you profusely and reward you with 4,000XP and 11,000 gold.
