has a cheeky reference to , although it might not be the sort of easter egg you're expecting from the sword-wielding duo.
Although, like the first game, Dragon's Dogma 2 does have its light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek moments, it's generally one of Capcom's more serious games and nowhere near the level of camp that Resident Evil and some of its othe🐲r serie𒅌s have. Despite that serious tone, Dragon's Dogma 2 still makes some time to nod at its developer's lineage.

I'm So Glad Dragon's Dogma 2 Isn't Afraid To Be Janky
Cap✃com is maintaining the original's charm, warts and all.
One of the more surprising easter eggs comes in the form of a reference to Devil May Cry. During one of the game's side quests, the player is tasked with solving a sphinx's riddles in order to get past them. Standard Sphinx behaviour, but it's one of these riddles that holds an interesting easter egg.
As part of these riddles, the Sphinx asks the player to explore the world and find a particular NPC that they show you. There's a catch, though, as the NPC they display is actually a twin, which means that there's someone else who looks very similar to them roaming around the world that you might accidentally think is your target.
Progressing through the quest and finding the two twins reveals a funny little wink to Devil May Cry. One of the twins, the one you're supposed to find, is named Vergil, while the other is called Dante. This is, of course, a nod to Dante and Vergil from Devil May Cry, who are both Sons of Sparda and happen to be twins.
As great as it is to see Dante and Vergil in Dragon's Dogma 2 (even if it isn't actually them), Dragon's Dogma 2 has missed a trick by not including Devil May Cry's true GOAT - Nero. Here's hoping the Red Queen pops up at some point in the game.
Sadly, the two characters named Dante and Vergil in Dragon's Dogma 2 don't look anything like the white-haired demon hunters that we know and love, but it's still clearly meant to be a reference. It might not be the one you were expecting (I was praying for the appearance of Vergil's sword, myself), but it does make a lot of sense for it to have been called out considering Dragon's Dogma 2's director, Hideaki Itsuno, also directed Devil May Cry 5.
