A Dreams creator has shared their recreation of a puppe✤t from Unreal Engin𓄧e 4 to make creating games easier for everyone else.
Dreams officially released last week on the PlayStation 4 after spending almost a year in early access. But Dreams is just getting started. Now that the game has been officially released, the floodgates are open and thousands of new creators are flocking to what’s been billed as the thing that will 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:change the way we make gꦬames as we know it.
What Dreams can do is something almost no other game engine has done before. You can make anything in Dreams, from custom levels to play the core game to entirely new games that have absolutely nothing to do with anything else. Or you can even make your own custom development tools to help other Dreams players make their own games.
Which is what Reddit user has done by recreating the Unreal Engine 4’s mannequin in Dreams.
This mannequin is a tool that comes bundled with Epic’s Unreal Engine 4, the same one that runs 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fortnite, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Borderlands 3, and a host of other modern titles. It’s there to make creating and animating human-like characters easier for other game development studios. It’s a good tool, and since Dreams' creation software is powerful enough to recreate that samﷺe tool, Drinkwater200 used it as the basis for their mannequin.
That said, Drinkwater200 added quite a few features, like running and jumping animations, a teleport dash, a top-down view, and a template loader so you can customize your mannequin. According to the official Dreams page, the has already been used in 9 creations and remixed by 5 other Dreams creators.
We’re only at the very beginning of seeing what the world makes out of Dreams, but with tools like this, it’s only a matter o𒈔f time b🐷efore we see something truly spectacular.
