While you will be unlocking a number of facilities during your time playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dredge: The Iron Rig, the Science Lab plays a particularly unique role. It doesn't reward you with upgrades, or provide you with it🤪ems: the Science Lab is where you go to progress through the primary𓃲 quest line of the Iron Rig.

Dredge: The Iron Rig - 6 Things You Should꧒ Do Before Tackling The Iron Rig
Before se🤡t sail f🅰or the Dredge: The Iron Rig DLC, you may want to ensure you have these things.
With this guide, I'll take you through every requiremen꧑t you are given by ඣthe Scientist. I'll tell you where to catch the fish he requests, and I'll tell you everything you need to know in order to acquire all the equipment you need.
A Note On Catching "Crab" Type Fish
Every request that the Scientist makes will require a crab pod of one form or another. These include the Sea Cucumber from The Marrows, the Trilobite from the Gale Cliffs, the Sea Slug from the Stellar Basin, the Nipponites from The Twisted Strand, and the Sea Scorpion from the Devils Spine.
Unlike the rest of the fish, you do not need a special infused class of Crab Pod to catch them. At no point did I struggle to find these fish, I just dumped a crab pod in an oily pool, and came back later to find the fish in question. Naturally, the larger your pods, and the more you drop, the better chance you'll have of nabbing one of these special fish.
Creatures In The Oil And Infected Fish
One of the elements you will encounter in the Iron Rig DLC content is that when maneuvering your boat through oily patches of the sea, there will be strange creatures that will confront your ship. If they collide with you, they won't damage your ship, but they will leave a splash of oil in your hull. If that oil touches a fish, it will infect it. You can instantly discard the oil and avoid any issues, but if you keep it separated from your fish you will be safe, and that oil will be required in order to build certain items, so it isn't a bad idea to save some.
If you are concerned about your fish getting infected, you can also clean up the oil spills (or at least sections of it) by using the Siphon Trawler (which you purchase from the factory). These creatures cannot travel outside the inky black pool of oil, so as long as you clean up the section of t𒀰he ocean you are fishing in they won't be able to get to you.
The First Fish Request - The Marrows
The first request you will get from the Scܫie🐻ntist is for a bundle of fish that you'll find in The Marrows. You won't need to target any of the specific oil spills to catch any of these fish, though the Osteostracan will be located near the shores (as it is located in the shallows).

While all of these fish will require you to have infused equipment to catch them, since you were given the Infused Rod while setting up the rig, you won't need to purchase any extra equipment for this first request.
Make sure to bring along your biggest crab pot so that you ca𒁃n catch tﷺhe Sea Cucumber.
Getting The Black Fluid Sample
After providing the Scientist with the first batch of fish, you will then need to get him a sample of the mysterious black fluid. In order to do this, you will need to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:purchase the Siphon Trawler from ℱthe Factory. This means that you will need to unlock the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Basic Trawl Net if you haven't alread🧔y done so, as that is one of the items required for getting the Siphon Trawler (alongside an Ironhaven Crate and $5𒁏0).
The Basic T🎃rawl Net is unl𝄹ocked with Research Parts.
Once you have the Siphon Trawler, equip it, lower it (the same way you would a trawl net), and suck up some of that mysterious black fluid. You only need one canister, but if you feel li👍ke cle𒈔aning the sea, you will be able to make use of additional canisters later in the game. Once you deliver it to the Scientist, you will be given a second round of fish to catch.
The Second Fish Request - The Gale Cliffs
These fish are all bunched around the Gale Cliffs. While your Infused Rod will be able to catch most of them, you'll need to pick up the Infused Winch or the Infused Hoist from the Factory. Without one of these fishing implements you won't be able to catch the Nautilus. While the Winch provides great power, and helps with catching Coastal and Shallow fish as well, the Hoist is necessary for late꧋r locations, so we'd just go with that one if possible.
The Infused Hoist requires that you have unlocked the Fathomless Winch. This is only obtained by completing certain requests for 🎃the Researcher in the Stellar Basin.

As a reward for delivering this second batch of fish, you will be ab♎le to upgrade the Factory and the Foundry. While in the Gale Cliffs region, make sure you visit the site of the sunken Ironhaven ship to the west in order to get a few more crates.
If you travel east of the Pontoon, you'll find a wrecked ship. Nearby there🦋 is Scrap🥂 Metal, Timber, and Cloth, everything you need to build an Ironhaven Crate at the Foundry!
The Third Fish Request - The Stellar Basin
You will be given another fishing request by the Scientist alongside instructions to speak to the Researcher and build some form of defense system for the rig. Mercifully, both will be done in the same place: the Stellar Basin. Before you can do anything, though, if you didn't already pickup the Infused Hoist, get it now so that you can catch the Tripod Spiderfish and Kerygmachela.

For the defenses, you'll need an Ironhaven Crate and a Dark Canister. Once you have delivered the fish and built the defense systems. You will now be able to upgrade the Factory to tier 4 with two crates, and you'll unlock the Fleet Services.
The Fourth Fish Request - The Twisted Strand
You will need the Infused Coiled Rod in order to be capable of fishing for Mangrove fish. Other than that, you will be dea♑ling with a considerable number o🎐f tentacled terrors in this area.
One of the best things you can do is to bring in the Siphon Trawler so that you can clean up large swathes of oil spill, limiting some of the threats y🐼ou will encounter.

You will now need to talk to the Resear෴cher in The Stellar Basin again. She'll tell you how to sabotage the defense system. She'll also tell you everything ☂you need to know to sabotage those defenses. This will require an Ironhaven Crate and a Dark Canister.
The Fifth Fish Request - Devil's Spine
This is the final haul the Scientist will request. By giving him these fish, you'll end his narrative once and for all (gaining a trophy in the process). Much 🐼like in the previous area, there is a good chance you will encounter a number of hostile threats here. By using your Siphon Trawler, you'll be able to clean up the oil, improve your mobility, and thin out the number of threats.
